re: Hypothetically, if Trump wins GOP primary, who is your ideal but realistic VP? - austingator
Trump needs Rubio just because of the perception of racism against hispanics. I don't think Trump could work with Cruz. As a matter of fact, who can work with that a-hole? He needs to be in the Supreme Court IMO....

re: Homosexual to Rubio: "Why Do You Want to Put Me Back in the Closet?" - austingator
There is an easy fix to all of this stupidity. The state should get out of the marriage business. Offer only civil unions to 2 willing adults. If you want to be married, you have to arrange that with your church. Christians get to keep marriage a sacrament; homosexuals get to be joined ci...

re: Marco Roboto has another malfunction - austingator
Trump is the worse at repeating himself and having no substance. Rubio's criticism is based on attacking the strongest candidate, particularly by the MSM. Have you heard Kasich? He repeats himself at nauseum. Christie is the most nimble out there, but IMO he turned a lot of people off by his r...

re: When you are 83. Do you prefer to die suddenly and unexpectedly or - austingator
From the article:
I noted, family members or medical staff effectively override the wishes of a dying patient. The studies I’ve found on this suggest that family plays a particularly big role in taking things in an unintended direction, especially when there’s nothing in writing. A 2003 st...

[link=(http://www.zocalopublicsquare.org/2012/07/23/doctors-really-do-die-differently/ideas/nexus/)]Doctors die differently- great read[/link] Recommend that article above in this subject.
But again, that seems like an individual choice
Indeed it is and it should be an ind...

re: When you are 83. Do you prefer to die suddenly and unexpectedly or - austingator
Btw I'm not advocating euthanasia. I'm advocating accepting reality, and when is futile let nature take its course with lots of pain pills. And the only way we are going to start making rational decisions (those people who lack medical training and knowledge) is if we consider all of the aspects o...
So you would have them pay for the same treatment that you give away for free to others who weren't hard-working enough or responsible enough to have the money to afford it?
I'm guessing you are making my point and being sarcastic, but I'm not sure. Until we stop giving shit...
You seem like a pretty heartless SOB. My dad: 82, Alzheimer's, quintuple bypass, overcame prostate cancer, veteran, has a pacemaker, loves his grandkids, an LSU alum and a major contributor to LSU, recently has skin cancer surgery, volunteer for several charities, past chairman for several ...

re: When you are 83. Do you prefer to die suddenly and unexpectedly or - austingator
It's a tough issue because it centers on quality of life and that varies by situation. I've have grandparent(s) linger on with very low quality of life and it's a bad situation for all involved. I've also had other grandparents or other relatives that had significant procedures but were stil...

re: When you are 83. Do you prefer to die suddenly and unexpectedly or - austingator
If you put the costs in the hands of doctors directly taking out healthcare plans, the government and their contracts the costs would be radically lowered. Check out doctor owned hospitals and how they disclose costs. Why do you think we pay top dollars for aspirin, and stupid shite like pads for wom...

When you are 83. Do you prefer to die suddenly and unexpectedly or - austingator
Drowning slowly of heart failure? Duh question right? You would think. But this is a scenario that happens every day in cardiologists offices, and guess what patients and their families chose and why? Studies have shown that doctors and nurses in similar situations chose to skip further treatme...

re: Aetna Joins Growing Chorus Warning About ObamaCare Failing - austingator
The problem with health insurance today is that too many take advantage of it and go to the doctor for every minor issue. Many use it to support their drug addictions or sales.
I mean, wasn't the offensive side of the ball the biggest need?
Duh, yes, but recuiting is for the future. We need DTs, LBs, and DBs. Hopefully we will get Catalina for the OL, but we need to recruit better the OL. We filled needs, but to compete for championships we wil...
