re: Colorado Ski Resorts - F Head on 1/13/13 at 6:07 pm I'd go straight to Vail. Right on the interstate, so easy access and great skiing. Good ski schools for kids and lots of other stuff for them to do in town. About two and a half hours from Denver.... Posted on Outdoor Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |
re: What is the true "rank" of LSU's offense? - F Head on 1/13/13 at 5:58 pm
Lots of folks like to quote where LSU ranks in the total offense
I agree with them. LSU's offense has been rank.... Posted on Tiger Rant Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |
re: Ron Cooper Didn't last long - F Head on 1/13/13 at 12:09 pm
Get Cooper back in here if at all possible.
This. The secondary was awesome at South Carolina when he was there and he made LSU's secondary arguably the best in the nation. Since he left, the secondary has not been the same.
And yes, Schiano is an idiot.... Posted on Tiger Rant Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |

re: Looking for suggestions in timber management - F Head on 1/4/13 at 10:07 am My father used to thin it about every seven years or so and we'd plant immediately after. Seemed to work well.... Posted on Outdoor Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |

re: Looking for suggestions in timber management - F Head on 1/4/13 at 9:58 am
Call Peters Forest Resources. Located in Baton Rouge. Good people.
Thanks. I've heard that. I emailed them but no response yet. ... Posted on Outdoor Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |
re: Looking for suggestions in timber management - F Head on 1/4/13 at 9:57 am I know it's a small piece, but the timber has covered its costs of ownership and then some in the distant past. That's my goal. I could use some help with controlled burns if needed and the bidding process when the time comes.

Looking for suggestions in timber management - F Head on 1/4/13 at 9:39 am I have a small piece of land northwest of Baton Rouge (60 acres) on which I have a good growth of pine. I'm interested in finding a company to help me manage the timber. Anybody here got any good experiences or recommendations? ... Posted on Outdoor Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2) |
re: Biggest weakness is not poor coaching but loyalty to poor coaches - F Head on 1/1/13 at 10:35 am It's a Catch-22 situation. That loyalty to his coaches makes it easy to recruit good coaches who are looking for security and a fair chance to show their stuff. Problem is, that loyalty to the guys already on staff makes such openings mighty rare. ... Posted on Tiger Rant Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |
re: College dominoes falling after Black Monday (not including Saban) - F Head on 12/31/12 at 4:03 pm
Man, I need his agent. That guy has sucked at three different places and keeps getting paid a ton.
Agreed. He reminds me of Neuheisel. Guy drove CU from national contender to mediocrity with NCAA issues, so Washington hired him and he did the same there, so UCLA hired him . . .

And another recommendation to call Phil. He's a good guy. Went by there yesterday and he's pretty busy, though. He'll at least refer ya to somebody good.... Posted on Outdoor Board Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |

re: Gas pipeline question - F Head on 12/5/12 at 9:17 am
They buy a permanent easement for surface use. It's still your property, but the contract will spell out what you can and cannot do. The agent writing the contract will usually have a little wiggle room to provide incentives to sign such as new gates, a road, etc..
re: Lane Kiffin currently #3 on coacheshotseat.com - F Head on 11/27/12 at 4:19 am
He gone after next year
I hope so. I'm not a big USC fan, but I respect the program and y'all deserve better than that idiot. I just hope he doesn't get the school with more sanctions in the meantime.... Posted on Coaching Changes Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |
re: Red Dot Scope Recs for .22 - F Head on 11/21/12 at 3:32 pm My brother just gave me a Trijicon Red Dot for my 10/22 break-down. It's insane. If I was buying, though, I'd have gotten the Tasco 1X30 Red Dot Sight.

re: Meandering Agriculture thread - F Head on 11/11/12 at 12:11 pm I don't get it, either. I know a bunch of elitist, urban folks who have no use for anybody who lives in the country. All they see are tractors, pitchforks, bibles and guns, and none of them work as hard as the farmers I've known. Frankly, I see big cities as parasitic growths. Farmers can live w...
