re: Can anyone other than LSU compete with AU this year? - jdevers
For LSU the question is when does the team just quit. You know, the point when the defense realizes it is carrying the team and unless they pitch a shutout the cause is often lost. Will this be the random dud year Malzahn seems to have where many of the puzzle pieces are present and they play ve...
I also don't get why people are so hung up on Missouri being southern enough. re: Anyone ever see any opposing fans at your spring games? - jdevers
I see a few LSU fans at ours every year, but they are mostly the same people that go to a lot of our games. Locals who are LSU fans but enjoy watching football in general I imagine...sure wish we could talk them out of wearing purple and gold for the non LSU home games though. Last year I'm pre...

re: Who Are Some Criminally Underrated SEC Players of the Past/Present? - jdevers
In a lot of ways Matt Jones was the anti-Johnny Manziel though. Manziel had all the swagger and force of will, just not any elite athletic abilities. Matt had plenty of swagger but the ambition and drive of a wet slug. He was lucky to be born with absolute elite athleticism, I'm not even sure he ...

re: I Stand in Awe of Arkansas' Legislators - jdevers
I think that bakers and photographers should be allowed to opt out of serving homosexuals on religious grounds when they also stop serving wealthy people, obese people, money lenders, non-first weddings, etc etc. Oh, they also shouldn't be conducting business on Sunday. Once they do all that and s...

re: I Stand in Awe of Arkansas' Legislators - jdevers
I am a straight man, I'm tall and of an athletic build. I find short modestly curvy women attractive, my wife is short and modestly curvy. I'm about 13 inches taller than her an out weight her by about a hundred pounds, we make interesting pictures and two beautiful children. It is odd that no on...

He is, that video is from 2013 though. Skipper toned it down a lot as the year went on last year. This year he will be at RT which is a much better fit for his talents and hopefully he won't show his arse quite as much....

re: Most complete game your team has played in Football - jdevers
LSU-Arkansas 2011 is a pretty good one. And 2012 And 13
Really? I'll give you 2011, after the Honey Badger turnover the wheels came off and you won in dominant fashion. We were also a very solid team that year. 2012 we didn't go to a bowl game, you were 10-2 yet the ...

re: Hunkerdown Feyetteville, the storm that hit Tulsa is headed your way - jdevers
You have never heard it called that? There are multiple old references to it like seven hills homeless shelter etc. The river valley damned sure is a valley, Quachitas to the south and Ozarks to the north. Fayetteville elevation, 1400 ft Springdale elevation, 1322 ft Bella Vista elevation 1...

re: Hunkerdown Feyetteville, the storm that hit Tulsa is headed your way - jdevers
What valley is Fayetteville in? City of Seven Hills and all. Also, a valley is a local topographical feature which has no significant impact on tornado formation. Fort Smith and Russellville actually are in valleys and have both had multiple tornado touchdowns in recent memory....

re: How far do you have each SEC team going in your bracket? - jdevers
If you're picking us to beat Wisconsin, you may need to check your dosage as well
No shit, we have about a 5% chance to lose to Wofford, maybe a 50:50 to advance past UNC and a less than 5% chance to beat Wiscy. They are a REALLY bad matchup for us, are better than us, and are re...

re: Has tackling become a lost art in cfb? - jdevers
A significant improvement in tackling went a LONG way to changing our defense from a laughing stock to pretty decent last year. We certainly allowed a couple extra yards going for the strip, but we got enough turnovers doing it that it was overall a net gain I think and compared to 2012 when our ta...
