re: Ole Miss trolled by UofA Ticket Department - jdevers
I do have a dirty hat with a hog on it...I only wear it when working outside on the weekend but I do have one. My job sucks because I'm on call 24/7, but it pays really well. Also graduated from a couple different colleges, so none of that except the hat applies to this hog fan. ...

re: I simulated the 2016 SEC season - jdevers
Your friend thinks we beat Bama but loses to Mizzou. His top secret formula needs work. I wouldn't mind his prediction overall though, sure hope we don't lose to TCU though....

re: First Bregman, Benintendi and Fulmer, now Swanson - Swanson called up to Atlanta - jdevers
He actually started off kind of sluggish at each level but adapted VERY quickly. He is far from a prototypical ball player physically, but is just a damned beast that loves the game. If he can find the power he had in college, he will be a superstar....

re: Athlon Sports experts pick LSU's season - jdevers
They just know we have that mind control over Deebo. Seriously though, they are just looking at recent history and styles of play. No one knows how good we will be this year, our ceiling is higher than recent years but we could crash and burn too. It is hard to pick a team to go undefeated, so ...

re: FPI has LSU and UT favored to win every game. Vegas also - jdevers
I think their weakest link isn't their depth, it is their starting QB...followed closely by an idiot head coach who melts under pressure. ...

re: Ranking SEC teams from the year 2000 - jdevers
Ole miss's bowl record is better, but during that time they have played in 13 bowls with 8 of them being "minor" bowls. They have done well in the major bowls they have played in though. Arkansas has been in 14 bowls with only 6 of them being "minor" bowls. ...

re: Arkansas fans road trip question - jdevers
Yea, take 71 instead. It is faster and much prettier and not too bad of a drive other than about 40 miles of it where you go through several small towns....

re: If B. Harris is the Ole Piss QB, what is their record? - jdevers
This is almost certainly totally true, I have never witnessed a single LSU practice but I've watched them play a hell of a lot of games under Miles. I also witnessed an awful lot of practices and games under Nutt. Probably the problem isn't QB coaching per se but trust and repetition are the cor...

re: Josh Dobbs is severely overrated - jdevers
He was actually probably the worst D 1 QB we played last year. Once we realized he just wasn't a threat to accurately throw the ball more than 10-15 yards he did nothing. And we SUCKED at defending the ball in the air....

re: It's official: Bert made LSU fans quit - jdevers
It's no mystery that more humid climates feel colder than drier climates. I've been outside on a rainy, 20 degree night in Baton Rouge, and I've experienced freezing skin warnings in Minneapolis. Granted, 20 degrees is a rarity in Baton Rouge, but as humid as it is, it's nearly un...

re: Your school's best QB - jdevers
Jamarcus Russell was an absolute monster his last year at LSU. Goddamn purple drank ruined him.
His last year he threw for 3,129 yards, 28 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. He had weapons like Early Doucet, Dwayne Bowe, Brandon LaFell, Trindon Holliday, and Craig Davis to use. La...

Yea, we haven't had a ton of great QBs. Joe Ferguson or Ron Calcagni were probably the two best college career QBs we have produced....

re: SEC coaches afraid of wiBO (and they should be) - jdevers
Not everyone has the time to sit and refresh a thread to see whose e-peen is bigger... Piscinin might actually have a real job, not everyone gets to work at the Branson wax museum......

re: which SEC games should have had a mercy rule? - jdevers
We beat Auburn that year too, but that was seriously he only game of the year where we looked like the team we were SUPPOSED to be. That game was crazy though, the off and on Tornado warnings and torrential rain sucked....

re: Arkansas fans... - jdevers
To back track a bit, historically night games were held in LR as well as quite of few "big games" per year. LR was the central hub of the city and was substantially larger than NWA and the stadium was larger too. Since that time NWA has grown, NWA is far better connected to the world, and DWR stad...

re: Because America. Armed service flyovers at your stadium - jdevers
Same with us, used to be nearly every home game. About four years ago they scaled it back quite a bit and I think now it is pretty much one game. Usually A-10 Warthogs which are incredibly awesome, but not the most stunning to hear fly over because they are so quiet. ...

re: Have you ever partook or have first hand experience of cheating in the SEC - jdevers
I have, a long time ago while working my way through college at a car lot I was told every time I clock out for lunch to also clock in another code then when I came back from lunch I also clocked out a different code. I didn't know WHO the other people were, but a few of my friends were told the sa...
