I have a pa12 and an outback. I am a bigger fella and prefer the pa12. Much more comfortable and spacious for fishing. My son and wife use the outback when they are able to make it, and they are perfectly comfortable in it. They have definitely gotten expensive, I bought the pa12 on clearance from ...

That happened to me on my 2017 Hobie PA12. On the PA12, there is a cleat/keeper on the inside of the hull that is part of the molded plastic hull. The chord that connects the cheek block to the inside front of the kayak had somehow slipped off of the molded plastic keeper. I don't know enough ...

I have done this a few times and caught limits of reds. Most of these trips were at Fourchon launching from the public launch, and then fishing north west of the launch. The water was much higher than normal and the reds were in a feeding frenzy. The last time I did this, I caught 5 keeper reds in t...
I believe that the skimmer flap is supposed to lay flat as long as the pump is running. When the pump stops, it should float up to prevent the debris from going back into the pool. ...
Happy Easter!! And thanks for all the suggestions. I will start checking into these options. As far as distance and terrain go, we normally fish within 2 miles of where we launch. Most of our fishing is in the marsh, shallow water ponds, bays, and canals, etc. We normally stay close to each other...
Greetings OD Board. I spend a lot of time saltwater kayak fishing, always inshore. I often take friends and family along with me. We carry whistles for emergencies, but cell phones for contact are unreliable in the areas I fish, and I want to be able to reliably keep in touch. I know noth...
Thanks everyone!! plenty of recs in this thread, and very much appreciated. :dude:...
Thanks for the feedback y'all. I am going to start reaching out to them within the next week or so. Any more recommendations out there?...
We have established 20+ yr old flower beds that we need to redo. We want to rip out and replace some mature bushes and plants, fill in some bare areas where plants have died off, replace the border material, and replace the sprinkler system. I normally do this kind of work myself, but don't have ...

Thank you CHEDBALLZ. I am gonna start doing this. I always heard that this approach is better for specs too. Makes the meat stay fresher and taste better....
If you slush you’re fish they will be firmer and easier to filet
By "slush the fish", do you mean keep it in ice with water while fishing and before cleaning? I have seen this recommendation before, but until now never understood the advantages...
