Same here…Used to love the thrill and gut-check aspect of all those rides, but now I just hope I don’t have a heart attack. I usually will still give everything a shot at least once, because my sons are at an age where they love it. If it’s something with really short lines, I’ll ride it once and...

Thanks- that’s one of the models I was looking at…How is the air fryer function on it?...

Convection/ Microwave Oven Combo

Anyone have experience with a convection/microwave oven combo? Is it worth the money? Background: Would be for installation in kitchen island in new construction. Sounds like it might be a good option to keep from heating up the whole kitchen when doing small batches. My concern is that multipurp...
I originally thought about wood burning stove also, but I figured the ease of propane would probably get used more, plus a ventless would save a hole in the roof. We’re getting some lines run for other gas appliances so it makes sense to do it now. The sounds & smell of a wood fire is hard to bea...
Sorry- should have specified…Will be more like a three-season room…Planning on using ez-breeze screen system on three walls. ..windows would be closed in cooler weather....
What issues am I looking at if I try to use a ventless freestanding gas stove as a heater on screen porch?.. Porch is 400sf....Was thinking something like this 700-sq ft Dual-Burner Vent-free Freestanding Natural and Liquid Propane Gas Stove https://www.lowes.com/pd/Pleasant-Hearth-700-sq-ft-D...
Thanks for the responses all. Agree with some of the sentiments on the jetted tub. We've rented houses before with them but didn't use them just because cleaning/ hassle issues. I'm still curious if a higher-end model would do enough to make it worthwhile. I've also read that some models have...
Fyi- Was doing a walk through with our electrician this morning. He’s got some plumbing expertise also so I asked him his thoughts. He said if we went freestanding, get one that had a decent amount of weight to it, to keep it from shifting around. (I guess maybe if you’re sitting on the edge of t...
Any recommendations for bath tub for master bath in new home construction? We’ll have a separate shower so this will be either freestanding or drop-in. There’s space to do up to 66x36”. That size would allow ~8-10” space around the tub on three sides. Wife was thinking freestanding but I think ...
As a kid in the '80s, I was part of their target demographic..Thought they were neat but I was already into other toy lines...I do remember not understanding what the connection was between talking fast and their products...Were you supposed to act all hyper when you played with them or something?...

Thanks all for the feedback...I'm renting a dump trailer today to get gravel for a separate project and thought I might go ahead and get the rip-rap as well, but I think I might hold off on that and think things through a little more. It's not necessarily an urgent situation; I'm just trying to i...

Thanks..I was considering this also but didn't know if I might need the thicker professional grade stuff for under rip-rap....

Does it all slope away towards a drain area/daylight? This sounds like a 6in French drain all day and then you don’t need the exposed rock at all. Assuming you can excavate out the entire run. ------ The banks of the ditch areas are fairly steep...The cross section of these areas averages ~4...

Depending on the size of the ditch, veg, soil type, etc., you may need put down some geotextile before placing the rip-rap so the rocks don't sink. I was thinking about this also. The soil in the area is pretty firm and the ditches are too steep for any traffic. I don't think the rocks sinking...

Yes sir- Each ditch section drains into a creek. This creek crosses under the driveway via culvert. One ditch pretty much goes straight to the creek on the upstream side of the culvert, and the other drains into a stand of trees on the downstream side of the culvert....

Rip Rap Along Ditch

Hello- Long time lurker, first time poster... I have a fairly long driveway that has some "V" ditches along the sides in places. The ditches are mostly clay with rock at some parts in the bottom. I'm going to get some rip-rap to line the ditches for erosion control. I was also thinking about pu...
