It's not crazy, if you just have a W-2 with minimal to no credits there is no reason to have Uncle Sam hold onto your money for the year just so you can get a large refund. Especially when you could have used that money to pay off debts, invested it, etc.

In the scene where Ferris Bueller / Twist and Shout is playing you can see a homage to The Thing, as a clearly visible DVD case.
Secondly, the name of the research lab is an homage to the book Tsalal by Thomas Ligotti who influenced much of Season 1....

Satisfied with my Airpods just wish the battery lasted longer. I'd suggest making sure they fit as I had a coworker who swears they won't fit even with the different earbud sizes....
