Have you considered a pellet grill. I have a green mountain grill, as do several people i know. Burns blended wood pellets and has digital temp control as well as a digital meat thermometer....

Have you seen or cooked on a pellet grill ? Wood burning smokers with electronic thermostats and food probe. Recently purchased one , and love it. Fire it up , put the meat on, and forget about it till done....
