just got a good faith estimate yesterday. closing costs estimated to be close to $19,000 for a $280k purchase price, 1% origination...
4.) what if you are not a first time home buyer, but your co-borrower is. does it apply?...

FSBO and Realtors

Crunched some numbers and the 6% taken by the agent is going to put me break even or losing money, but I have no experience with for sale by owner. My realtor told me people can still use the services of an agent even when selling by owner. Are they still gonna take the 6%, or should I just not me...

Nate, I just talked to a loan originator here in BR. My score is 728, and they were offering me 5.5% on an FHA loan. You're saying I'd be better off going to my bank, Chase, and trying them? Also, is it going to hurt my score when it gets pulled twice in a week or two?...

What about immediately knocking 10-15% off any asking price and going from there? Would you at least be sheltered from the next 2 or 3 years if prices fell 4-5%/year?...
