At this point, these university protests are monkey see, monkey do
Posted by AMac on 4/28/24 at 5:12 pm
These idiots have no idea what they are protesting. It’s just the cool fad flavor of the times. I say go Janet Reno on them. I assure you it’ll stop. ...

This subject came up with a friend and we went back and forth. I’m not unstable and this would never happen. I’m just bored on a Friday night and curious. ...

Personally losing a sibling and seeing my mom heartbroken, I’m just curious what the OT would do. That would be a tough decision for me. ...
If your mom already lost one child scenario
Posted by AMac on 4/26/24 at 11:11 pm
If your sibling died unexpectedly, and you were her only child left and had a chance to save her life from being hit by a truck, but you would die in the process. It’s either her or you. If you save her, you’re a hero and dead. But the pain of losing another child would hurt her more than anything e...

Freshwater trout in Colorado fishing off the riverbank?

I’m reading mixed reviews online about pound test, fluoro, mono, braided, with leader, without leader, etc….. Never been and clueless. Seems the majority uses 4-6 pound test. Any suggestions of the setup? And maybe lure suggestions? ...

re: Does anyone truly believe Hell is a place of fire where unbelievers burn for eternity?

I’ve also heard some theologians say it may be a literal lake of fire that unbelievers are thrown into to truly “die.” But I agree, whatever it is, it’s not pleasant. Separation from God in any form isn’t a good thing. ...

So that one act determined his eternal destination? We’re no better than him, IF we truly believe the Bible. I have no idea where he went. ...

The Bible also says to pluck your eye out if it causes you to sin. And to cut your hand off if it causes you to sin. We are also commanded to hate our family to follow Jesus. Don’t be cherry picking. Is all that literal too? ...

And that’s another thing. Would we joke about it if we truly believe? I’m just as guilty as anyone else making wise cracks and mentioning it lightly. I’m not a Joel Osteen sunshine pumper at all. I just don’t know what it truly is. I’m thankful for grace that I received from it as well. ...

Again, I believe in Hell, whatever it literally may be. If you’re honest with yourself and swallow your pride, nobody truly knows. ...
Does anyone truly believe Hell is a place of fire where unbelievers burn for eternity?
Posted by AMac on 4/19/24 at 2:54 pm
I believe the Bible. I believe Hell exists, whatever it is. I believe all deserve it if not for grace. I just have a hard time believing it’s a place of permanent torture. The Bible mentions lots of stuff that isn’t literal. I could be totally wrong. No one knows, even the greatest of theologians. ...
