Yea...everybody used to go in there during lunch and watch THE OLD & THE USELESS. Its felt like the thermostat was set on 65 it was sooo cold....

My ex g/f is from Houma and she doesn't realize how lucky she is her town is 95% the same as it was when she graduated HS.
Remember sunday after church in Forsythe Park? Everybody cruzin, playing football, chick scopin, water skiing, etc.. We had one helluva little town boys!...

Whoever said the ArkLaMiss fair was incredible was understating the fact. I was friends w/ the owner of the Conoco station across from the police station and he charged like $20 to park in his lot and made like $1,000 during the week of the fair. I remember walking around Pecanland listening to the christmas music and smelling all the food at the food court. The Muffin Tin always made this spiced tea that really smelled like Christmas. I got pics of freakin' ELVIS arriving at the back of the civic center AND arriving at the Ramada Inn going up to the "high rise" second floor bridal suite.

Jeez this is some good stuff! I grew up in Monroe. I remember Forsythe Park pool in the summer (the kiddy pool outfront). The fireworks show on the levee in July & December. Johnny's Pizza, Fank & Janies, Ray's PeGe, the drive in, I saw Raiders of the Lost Ark at Eastgate & Star Wars at Twin City...
