Whatever you do avoid an Ashley store like the plague. Ended up canceling with them after months of frustration. Got Ashley products from the local place which they delivered in under two weeks. I’m sure it was more than Ashley but it was worth every penny of customer service I received....

Did it last November myself (Zoysia). Grass took longer to come out of dormancy than I would like and weeds set in. Got that under control in the summer. Next summer will focus on leveling the lawn. Don’t think you will have any major issues. ...

Talk to your local banks and credit unions, many will do 10% down, some even do 100% financing on lot loans. Most I have heard of will have a ballon option after 5 years or so. Typically any equity you create in the lot translates when you go to build....

If you like to be outside and plan on having an outdoor kitchen…coverage as much patio area as possible and make this area bigger than you think you need. Build your garage storage/work bench before you move in. Once you move you will have to move 100 things out of the way to do this...
