VA disability benefits question
Posted by schlodc on 3/8/21 at 7:38 am
Has anyone successfully navigated the VA process for getting disability benefits for an elderly parent? The amount of paperwork is astronomical and seems designed to discourage old people from even attempting to fill out. Does anyone know if there are VA representatives that help people out with the...

re: What was the first Saints game you attended in person?

Saints VS. St.Louis Cardinals. Tulane Stadium 1974. I was 8. We had relatives come in from Kentwood, LA to see Jackie Smith (HOF TE for Cardinals). Cardinals were a playoff team and we shut them out 14-0. I remember my dad harassing my relatives after the game "The Big Red is DEAD!" Jackie Smith end...
Where does all of that debris go?
In Germany they made a big arse debris mountain in Munich (covered in grass now). It's in the middle of Olympic Park. Climbed to the top and looked down into Olympic Stadium to watch Rammstien perform last year. :dude:...

Agree, they said the refs gave Kamara a generous spot when he clearly made a first down.
Also on the Cook TD where the defender grabbed the ball out of his hands after he was on the ground. He said, "Wait was it intercepted? No signal yet from t...

Last weekend I drove my daughter and her friend around the city to roll the houses of the senior volleyball players. Apparently it is a tradition and the seniors leave treats for them on the doorstep. The sad thing is I had to teach them the proper way to roll a house. They didn't even know how to t...
We had a rash of divorces in our friend group about 10 years ago. In a span of about 3 years, 4 or 5 couples got divorced.
We never felt like we had to choose, 10 years later there's only one of those couples that we still see both former spouses with any regularity, and they had a very am...
re: How much is goal to save for each kid’s college?

If you don't have a Roth IRA or haven't maxed out your contribution, that is a good vehicle to save for college. One of the eligible withdraw options is college tuition. If your kid gets a scholarship and you don't need it all then it is extra retirement money....
