Zak was honored just to be on LSU 's radar. ...
I'm not real sure what happened with LSU. cheif seemed real excited at first. Msu is only 2 hr away from home. It's prob for the best. ...
Zak is going to be a msu bulldog. Preferred walk on. Mullen is very excited about him. ...
Msu leads. He is waiting to see if anything shakes out After signing day. Maybe someone has a spot left. ...
Arky hasn't been in contact. Offers are pouring in the last few days. My gut says MSU. Unofficial visit went very well. ...
How many can LSU take this yr?...
Msu, eastern Illinois offered , and I think Memphis has finally got their heads out of their arse and are in route to meet with zak today. ...
Not arky. East of LSU but still in the west. ...
Zak picked up an offer to a sec west foe today. They are Very excited about it. ...
Maybe some news on the LSU front today or tomorrow. Pretty vague I know. Don't want to jinx it. ...
A little update. Zak went on a visit to a d2 school this weekend. He's #1 on their list. It went well. Zak surprised everyone even his dad by showing off his long sapping skills as well. He's been working on it quietly with hillis timing the snaps. Said he's as good as some of the guys in the league...
My thoughts are, what has anybody got to lose by offering a walk on spot? He didn't cost you any money. Let him work for year to see if he belongs and if not he can alway transfer down and standout Without losing any eligibility. ...
It's funny, some of these kind of kids come in unheralded, work their arse off and become great players and people. And prima-donna Johnny Fivestar fizzles out or flunks out in 3 yrs. well that's how it works at UT seems like anyway. ...
Ill update this as I hear stuff. I talk to mr Neary pretty often. ...
In recruiting its not what u know it who u know. That's the 1 thing they learned in this whole process. 2 weeks ago it was pretty quite on the recruiting front. Zak was down on himself. His dad was feeling bad, maybe he didn't do enough to get him noticed. Even the hs coach was down. Thinking he di...
If offered a spot he would walk to Baton Rouge :)...
Thanks Billy. Wherever he ends up he will consider it an honor and privledge to put on that jersey. ...
And one other thing. He was born and raised in Florida. Moved to TN in 8th or 9th grade. If he would have stayed in FL he would be a 3* player with offers everywhere. And still be the same player. And I don't think distance is a factor. ...
Posted by Message BillyBobBlitzkrieg Zak Neary - Falling through the cracks Orange, Any idea why he is so late on the scene? Did he camp anywhere? Was he told to keep working by any coaches in hope of a late offer? Would he prefer a full scholarship at a small school, or try a preferred wa...
