Spamming the board with twitter links, starting threads for every “dirty” play they think happened, and just general Wemby obsession after he just kicked their asses is what makes me laugh.
And where they act like Haliburton’s injury was no big deal

Weren’t you the guy that thought my “meet me at Sonic to check knuckles” was a serious invite to fight me in Oklahoma? Yeah…

Haliburton was out of the majority of ONE game, not the entire series. There is a difference.
Of course there is a difference. But at that point it was a best of 1 series. Winner take all. As you said…there’s a difference…a difference between missing game 4 or 3 and missing game 7.

Like everyone saying Indiana would have won if Haliburton played? Like you’re doing right now?
I’m not saying Indiana would have won. I’m saying injuries are part of it seemingly every year. You would think an OKC fan would know that based on last year.

He’s the wimp who is also too physical for today’s NBA…totally makes sense

I’ve never seen a fan base let an opposing player cuck them the way Wemby has cucked OKC fans.
It’s laughable. Bagging on SA for taking advantage of a banged up team when their banner last year was won with Indiana’s star, who was on an incredible run, out for about 40 minutes of G7.
They are as bad as Aggy fans, just arbitrarily saying “we woulda won this and this if not for this.” Oh well, I probably acted the same as them before I could legally drink.

San Antonio broke San Antonio. The celebration may have cost SA in games 1 or 2.

I’ve seen them win 5/6 in my life…beating the Thunder isn’t what you think it is.
2014 Finals over Miami
1999 Finals over NY
2005 Finals over Detroit
2003 Finals over NJ
2007 Finals over Cleveland
2003 WC Semis over LAL
1999 WCF over Portland
All are better. Hell, knocking off the 2014 Thunder was more exciting.
What you think was our Super Bowl would, for me at least, be on par with the WCF wins in 03 and 05, and maybe even the 07 semis over the Suns.
This run has been fun, but very unexpected.

None of what you said is wrong. The fact that OKC fans are hate-watching shows there is a level of fear to what he can achieve. I’m sure there’s a precedent for a young player pissing himself on the biggest stage and ending up a champion.
Oddly enough, losing to Minnesota or OKC or something would have resulted in people still thinking he was ascending toward an elite career. They were arriving early until a few hours ago. In an odd twist, he’s a victim of his own recent success. It’s obvious he needs to mature.
And we shouldn’t be letting Fox off the hook.

And I’ll add Yankees/Red Sox 2004
And 73-win Warriors blowing a 3-1 lead

It gives 28-3 (please help me forget) a run for its money, but idk if it is as bad.
I don’t think it’s that close. Falcons had a 28-3 lead to win the title. Spurs had the lead to tie the series headed home. I think this will be an important note for the series and the season, but I think this will be forgotten in a few years, and remembered way down the line when a team breaks the record.

I just think they are that much better than the Knicks and they’ve been up against it vs the Thunder and locked down when needed.
I think the Thunder hangover is an excuse for G1 and MAAAAYBE 2. At this point, no.

Short term, Knicks are better. Maybe the Spurs can rally at home and force it back to NY.
Long term…it’s a bit concerning. This has the potential (now) to define them. The youth is part of it…but Fox legit barfed on that. Absolute choke. And Mitch Johnson? Also young and still growing, but at what point do you hold a coach accountable for his team jacking up ill-advised 3s in the third and how they failed again late…?

Running on the court? Yikes. I can appreciate a die hard like Spike, Kevin James, and any of the others. The Taylor Swift thing was pretty awful to watch though…that circle of friends? frick that
Our resident OKC friends, the blown lead, this team not being able to finish, sports media, Stephen A…all that is fun and games and part of sports fandom. SA choked, but NY took it as well. They have a championship mentality, and all you can do is tip the cap. This loss is right behind the Ray Allen 3 in 2013 for me…
But frick Taylor Swift

28-3 will be worse, as this was one game in a series. If the Spurs didn’t piss away G1 or hit a shot in G2, the series is different. This is just part of the story at this point.
