Huh. Finally saw something more cringe than LSU’s Welcome to the Now/Evo Devo campaign.

he tax code is fricked. When someone can live off billions in loans backed by that stock and never sell, the tax system allows them to enjoy their wealth without paying taxes like ordinary workers do. I think that should change.
Maybe you should understand how things work for yourself rather than paraphrasing ragebait you read on social media. “Never” is a long time.
While you are right margin loans are open ended, they are NOT transferable.
So if nothing else, they need to be paid off upon death of the owner. Assuming you use the assets in the account to do so(otherwise there is no point in the strategy), that’s a taxable event. So Uncle Sam gets to tax all at once not only the accumulated borrowed money but also the compounded interest charged for the borrowing of that money.
re: Is Jefferey Wright’s “Commisioner Gordon” been the only acceptable DEI/woke hire?

So every time a black casting happens for a “white” role it’s a DEI hire?
No one ever could possibly think he simply auditioned the best.

This blew my mind but I think it’s technically Bret
I’ll throw this other mind blower at you then:
Early in the war torpedoes were reserved for only armed escorts and massive freighters.
Because of their limited stock of torpedoes they would do most of their sinking by deck gun.
As ASW dramatically improved it became suicide to stay on the surface so torpedo usage increased in hit and run tactics.
Towards the very end, ASW was so good that being surfaced was basically impossible so the last subs (and older refits) were set up with a snorkel and had the deck guns removed entirely, and cruises occurred at periscope depth.

It wasn’t wartime, Raiders takes place in 1936.
Even in wartime it would have ran on the surface. The “plothole” only comes up because we are now used to nuclear subs that might not surface for months.
Submarines of the era were surface ships. It’s why they had a deck gun and AA gun. They could submerge but it wasn’t for travel really, but getting into position in the last stages of the ambush or to sneak past a very tight spot
They could only go around 100 miles creeping along at 4 knots with full batteries.

This is basically the Apollo 9 of the Artemis program.
Exactly. In terms of missions they are racing through testing phases about 3x times faster and you still have people bitching “why no moon now?”
quote:
I get we can’t really replicate Apollo missions for many reasons but I feel like we can learn a lot of techniques from them
It’s not the techniques they are testing. It’s validating the hardware.
They got a huge list of action items to work on from Artemis 2

Means no PTO, in my experience. I worked for one of these once.
I want to point to my PTO and say "I'm completely off work for this week" and I will use my PTO balance that I earned.
It wasn’t an unlimited PTO place, but I guess out of a fit of guilt of how much they suppress vacations (not directly, the site was just super high stress and things fall apart if the decision makers aren’t there….you self suppress vacations because you can’t really “get away” and your work is just piling up so days off generate its own flavor of stress) they allowed managers and above to cash out unused vacation as opposed to the use it or lose it policy written in the book.

Whatever it is, it’s case by case and clearly delineated in the handbook.
Outside of the rise of “unlimited” PTO so you can’t never accumulate a bank, there really aren’t generalized trends

What a miserable bunch. Should no one be excited for anything because of a rough year?
There is not holding on to a rough year forever.
Then there’s the folks who denied the problems with Les Miles approach year after year, accepted the same excuses over and over again. And did the same for Kelly.
JJ gets a lot more latitude because of his titles. But the one question no one wants to address, even when they bring it up as a deflection of accountability:
Why did assessment of the transfer portal fail so badly this year? This was said to be a strong team and the reason why it wasn’t isn’t due to one, two, or even three misestimates.
The entire team was fricked.
This was one of the worst teams LSU fielded in 30 years.
So no, I’m not going to drink the kool aid just because JJ acknowledged recruiting and scouting was the issue, with zero discussion as how things are different. Also with the same staff responsible for those roles in place.

They did last year too.
Are y’all frickers just accepting the same bullshite? We were all EAGER for the season because of how great recruiting/transfer portal was. Y’all just gonna pretend that never happened?

Uh, yeah, the victim
You mean the group of guys who all knew they were breaking trespassing rules so when it developed they abandoned the “victim” and either ignored the situation (guy on beach) or ran entirely (guy on jet ski.)
*If* the old cooger had planed to kill him, it’s only because of the efforts of 3rd parties that saved him.

Correct he did not. He did some screaming but the old guy walked off without anyone getting in his face or being further accosted.

No but you obviously are. “He didn’t get in anyone’s face until after he got in his face. So it doesn’t count”

Hey I’m willing to give JJ all the benefit of the doubt but you are fricking stupid to think that his misevaluation of talent has anything to do with the portal. He fricked up, and honestly I don’t understand why.
It’s not roster depletion from a championship year. He honestly thought he adequately rebuilt, and he is on record as believing such. Maybe not for a championship run, but certainly not what this season gave us.

That’s not a “punk”
That’s a whiney entitled bitch.
My favorite line was him claiming he was just about to tell his friends they should go. Surrrrrrrrrre you were.
Oh I’m not saying the older guy was blameless. They BOTH escalated at every step. Only one was playing the victim card after though.
