During his weekly press conference on Tuesday, South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier announced that freshman quarterback Lorenzo Nunez will start for the Gamecocks this Saturday against Central Florida. Per WLTX.com:

Spurrier said he thinks that ability to both run and pass may be the answer his team needs to give life to the offense, which has struggled to move the ball this season.

"He gives us a spark running the ball. We need to spread out and run the ball. That's where we are," Spurrier said.
Nunez is the third different starting quarterback the team's so far this year.
