Derek Mason Wants Vanderbilt To Play Stanford
by Staff Reporter

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
New Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason was on WJOX radio earlier this week and said that Commodores are working on Scheduling Stanford, his former team.
quote:Mason was at Stanford from 2010-2013 and will coach his first game as a head coach when Vanderbilt takes the field against Temple on August 28th in Nashville.
“We are in the process right now of scheduling that game. Hey Listen... We understand that the two schools have similar brands, but you know what? They don’t fear anybody and we don’t either. We will get a chance to get after Stanford and they’ll get a chance to get after us at some point in time, hopefully in the near future. We are still the best conference in the whole United States. If they want to come and get us, come and get us.”
