Colin Cowherd is tired of the SEC and their fans, so he started crying about it on Thursday...

If you have nothing decent to say about SEC,which is the best conference, say nothing.

He's right. Gotta win games to be considered better.

It pains me to agree with Cowherd

Cowherd is telling the truth. The SEC has set itself back with some shitty coaching hires.

Aside from Urban Meyer, which current Big 10 coaches have a ring under their belt? Harbaugh is a solid 10 win coach, but he hasn't done much at Michigan when you think about it. Going into the bowl games last season I think everyone considered the Big 10 to be the best conference but the BIG 10 fell flat in a lot of those bowl games as well. BIG 10 > SEC is a bit of a stretch in my opinion. ACC > SEC is more believable, but let'a face it, it was just a down year for the SEC.

You guys have to learn that Cowherd has learned a great lesson from Paul Finebaum. When feeling lazy all Finebaum has to do is tweak the SEC (and especially the gumps) and then open the phone lines...the rest is comedy gold and printed money. Cowherd does this periodically when feeling lazy. its easy money and ratings. Scarbinsky has always tried this and is not as good at it. Colin has a national audience and its easy, but not as effective because he doesnt live down here amongst us.

SEC office in Birmingham, Refs' office too. 11 dwarfs should leave the SEC and see how bama handles that one.

Handle what? Becoming an independent like Notre Dame?

How this guy stays employed is one of life's great mysteries.

The current group of coaches is a laughing stock. We have Satan and the 7+ dwarfs: Coach Omg, Arky Farky, Shark man, Muscrappy, Sumlimp, Butchy Putchy, Stoopy Doopy, Smarty Farty, Mouth's On, Muffin Man, Freeze Brain, and the 2 Who?'s.

this guy is an idiot and blowhard, just trying to be contrary. The southern region and glut of black football players puts the SEC as the top conference. The SEC basketball considered to be abysmal showed it was right up there with the best, go suck that one …

I think he's way too short-sided. Look at the bowl results: 1.) Miss. State - 17 Miami (OH) - 16 --this was an embarrassment to the conference. 2.) Vanderbilt - 17 NC State - 41 -- this was an embarrassment to the conference. 3.) South Carolina - 39 South Florida - 46 -- we won 3 games the year before. South Florida was an 11-2 team that barely got by a 6-7 South Carolina team. 4.) Arkansas - 24 Virginia Tech - 35 - Virginia Tech was 10-4 and ranked #22. Arkansas was 7-6. VT was supposed to win. 5.) Georgia - 31 TCU - 23 - okay win. Georgia should be a lot better than that though. 6.) Tennessee - 38 Nebraska - 24 - TN beat Nebraska by 2 touchdowns. Both had an equal record. 7.) LSU - 29 Louisville - 9 - complete utter domination of the Heisman winner. 8.) Kentucky - 18 GT - 33 - Ehh...Kentucky's gotta do better than that. 9.) Florida - 30 Iowa - 3 - complete domination. 10.) Auburn - 19 Oklahoma - 35 - Auburn won 8 games last year. Oklahoma was 11-2. They should have beaten AU as such. 11.) Alabama - 24 Washington - 7 -12 win and Pac 12 Champ Washington was never a threat to Alabama's defense. 12.) Alabama - 31 Clemson - 35 - NC game.

He's not wrong. In 2007, the league had Miles, Spurrier, Meyer, Richt, Petrino. Now it's Orgeron Muschamp, Butter teeth, Smart, and Fat Bert
user avatar

What did Richt and Miles do but underachieve mightily? Spurrier didn't do squat at USC. Petrino? Are you kidding? The only one of those that did anything is Meyer. Richt was two SEC titles, but that was in the first four years of his tenure. He underachieved more than any coach in America the last ten years. As for Smart, he's coached one year. If we're throwing coaches under the bus after one year, Saban wouldn't be where he is. Neither would anyone else.

Does this mean Colin doesn't think Gus is a genius anymore? Should i believe what he says now or should I believe all the contradictory stuff he said previously? Oh that's right, I shouldn't believe any of it.
user avatar
TigerTalker1684 months
And it's all Nick Saban's fault. How many good SEC coaches quit or got fired because they couldn't beat Saban? Fulmer? Richt? Meyer? Les Miles? Saban is the only good coach standing. He came and he conquered.

You're not wrong, even though many wont admit it. People complain about the Patriots playing in a weak division, but those guys go against Tom and Bill twice a season, and usually never win. So coaches get fired, and nobody really ever establishes themselves

I came here to get mad, but after listening to him, I can't really see where he's wrong... Never thought I'd say that about Cowherd.

I can't stand Cowherd and disagree with him 99.9% of the time but this unfortunately falls into the 10th of a percent category...
