Talented Auburn defensive end Carl Lawson will be out for "an extended period of time," according to head coach Gus Malzahn. Per AL.com:
quote:

"Carl Lawson's injury is a little more serious than we first thought," Malzahn said. "We're hopeful we can get him back before this season is out, but I'll keep you updated from time to time on his status. Obviously he's an impact player. It has been really tough on him, especially going through (injury) last season and having another."
Lawson tore his ACL in the spring of 2014 and did not play last season.

sucks - cause the kid had talent for sure - just hope it ends up not being serious, and he can recover from it.

Hip injuries can be career ending unfortunately, doubt he plays at all this year.. And the future may be bleak.
If it's similar to Bo Jackson...
