Not too long after Vanderbilt beat Virginia in the College World Series Wednesday night to win their first baseball national championship, did Commodores pitcher Brian Miller get down on a knee and propose to his girlfriend. How did this come about?
"I'll tell you, it's actually a sweet little story," Miller said. "The first game of the year at Long Beach I was with Tyler Beede in the outfield, and he said, 'You won't propose to your girlfriend if you win the national championship.' I shook his hand and said, 'I will do it.' And here we are."
