I'm flying from SF to Maine tonight to spend a couple weeks in Acadia National Park. Peak of the foliage change, the tourists are gone and I've got 3 ounces of bud waiting for me in the cabin.
What are your favorite fall hangouts?

In the U.S. and if looking for fall foliage, as you mentioned, it's hard to beat Maine.
Especially if that bud you have is any good.

Cruise ship, empire state building, or grand canyon for sure.

Fall is the tourist free season in the Caribbean. No place I'd rather be.

As hobbies go, yours is ... tout à fait défaut.

Vermont. This time of year.
I've only done it once, but it was gorgeous. I stayed in a cabin in the middle of nowhere with no Internet. Best of my life.

It truly is amazing really anywhere up further north this time of year. Nothing like we have down here.

Arkansas actually has an excellent fall season. The change of colors is nearly equal to that of New England, plus the weather is perfect for hiking.

Actually my two favorite places to drive to see the leaves change are arkansas and west virginia

If only we had a travel board

Sounds bad arse. My favorite vacation ever was a 6 day snowmobile trek in Maine with a coworker/good friend. The bud was good up there

Spent a few days in a cabin in Hatchers Pass in the Talkeetna Mts. a few years ago, late September. It was incredible. Most serene and peaceful place I have been. Leaves turn very quickly, you've got a week or two window to catch them.

This is from Hatchers Pass two weekends ago. In between Willow and the summit.
Beautiful area. Plan on going back out again this weeked especially after the light snowfall we received over the week in the mountains!
