I would like to know some more info on the Greek isles. I heard Naxos, Rhodes, and Samos are great.

Hydra is cool. The others I'm not sure. Samos was cool too. Santorini and Mykonos are worth seeing.

I enjoyed my time on Rhodes.

Has a lot of historical stuff not found on other islands.

Some nice beaches here and there you can get to by car if required.

Can be a bit touristy at times but that's probably many of the Greek islands unless you get yourself onto a smaller one.

Symi is a neat day trip by ferry. You can also go to Marmaris (Turkey). I know some folks did that area in depth but we actually caught a cab there to Dalaman airport and flew to Istanbul.

I've done yacht week Croatia and BVI's. Are you going with a group of friends?

You don't need much as far as clothes, bathing suits and super casual clothes. be sure to bring boat shoes or tennis shoes, your feet will be banged up if this is your first time on a sailboat. Most boats have a couple of theme costume nights.

Bring a Bluetooth speaker for your boat, bring a ton of glow sticks for the night parties on the beach and your boat. Bring some ridiculous inflatable like a swan or something. An American flag to fly. All these things will assist in getting you laid, there will be plenty of beautiful women from all over the world.

It's a blast, enjoy. I met people from all over that I stay in contact with, we frequently meet up in our travels

I just got back from TYW - Week 27 in Croatia. It was the most ridiculous bender I've ever been on in my life. Watched the sun rise for a week straight. I hope you have a catamaran. Monohulls blow and everyone flocks to the cats for parties because of the space.

I would strongly suggest bottle service split between the group. It is totally worth not fighting for a drink at the bar. Buy plenty of water and stay hydrated.

You will have a blast. My crew got back and immediately booked BVI for New year's.

Did you go to Pamukkale in Turkey? Also, do you feel like Greece is a safe place to go this fall?

Did not go to that area of Turkey.

My theory about Greece, Italy, Croatia etc is they don't/didn't have the economy/systems in place to support outside Muslim communities so therefore, refuges pass right through them nor have many settled in those countries compared to France, Germany, etc.

They simply don't have the money.

I was in Mykanos and Corfu in May, they were perfectly fine. Athens on the other hand was a little sketchy.

Athens, like a lot of South/Eastern Europe is a relative shithole but man, does it have some great history

Yeah the historical part of Athens was awesome. A shocking amount of phalic bottle openers for sale there though.

I've never seen this before. Is it just a ripping party all week? That's what it sounds like.

Yea pretty much, there are about 15 yachts packed with coeds and you just island hop and party. It's actually pretty reasonably priced.

In Croatia we had 60 yachts, that was three years ago.

Ok, gotcha. Not the romantic, probably baby maker, that my wife is looking for next summer.
