Left my passport and wallet on a plane in Cuba. That wasn't fun trying to convince them to let me go back and get them. Then on the way back someone in our group got caught with cigars he tried to smuggle in. That was rough.

Nantucket Airport

I didn't have any issues with the airport itself, however, Joe Biden and family were leaving from their Thanksgiving vacation when we arrived. All roads leaving the airport were blocked off until his plane took off from the airport.

Leaving to go back to Boston was a breeze, since TSA wanted to go home early and we were the last flight out. They just let us leave 2+ hours early, lol.

When I saw this thread, I was coming to post White Plains, certain no one else would.

I was there ~2wks ago and it was a disaster.

Maybe 400 people in that tiny garage, security searched my bag and just left all my shite on the floor. Do they even have A/C?

No restaurants.

Worst experience was when I flew from JAX to Halifax, NS in'09. My flight was from Jax to LaGuardia, and inclement weather held up my flight at LaGuardia, so I didn't get out until the next day. Weather was still bad the next day, so a 45 minute delay caused me to miss my connection in Montreal, since I had to go through customs. All of the flights to Halifax were booked solid, so I tried to fly standby on multiple airlines that day. Didn't make it on any of them. Had to fly in the next day.

Originally, I was supposed to get into Halifax on Sunday night around 11:00 PM. I didn't actually get to Halifax until 3:00 PM on Tuesday.

LaGuardia and Newark airports both blow...

LaGuardia is being rebuilt from the ground up. Will be an even bigger mess for a while.

Single experience was in Munich, after flying back from Amsterdam. I was with two other friends and we were immediately stopped by die Polizei upon entering the terminal. We were ushered up to a private room and they went through EVERYTHING.

After that was cleared, I was told to go into the little connecting room. Trou down and spread'em.

When they let us go, we were still a little shocked. But then one of my friends put it in perspective- die Polizei had it worse. They has to stare at buttholes all day as part of their job.

KCI used to be a great airport but just outdated. Now the city is trying to get a new terminal built and they've made the whole experience completely miserable.

Narita Airport in Japan.

A few years back. They pulled my bags and inspected them. Opened them up on a table and took every single item out and inspected it inside and out. Opened my big bag of M&M's, tore the bag and they ran everywhere. frick them for that in particular

MCI is a design straight from the 1950s and 60s, it was definitely made for the pre-deregulation era. It's kinda nostalgic to see, but ergonomically awful.

Surely you're referring to DFW and not Love. Fly out of Love almost weekly. And it's a goddamn breeze.

It's more the airline than airport, but Spirit cancelled our flight from MCO to DFW. We ended up going MCO-ORD-DFW. Got to DFW 12 hours later than planned. O'Hare is a complete dump with extremely rude people.

Why?

Because I fit the profile of a high jacker, which was a big deal back in 1970: • White male • College age • Traveling alone • Purchased one-way ticket with cash (yes, you could do that back in those days)

You look like this?

I've had some crazy experiences with Delta, but my fav was when we were waiting to board and they finally announced that they couldn't find the flight crew----everyone said, "check the bar". They never found them and put us all on an American flight---very odd!

Were you in the first timers line? I flew into there last week and was pretty good even with the construction going on. I was pissed leaving there yesterday because the Starbucks was closed for 30 mins for shift change haha

But in Dubai now, so all is good
