Wife (no pics) , babies (that's why), and I are traveling to Dallas. What parts of town do we need to avoid?

I doubt you'd need to go downtown anyway. Everywhere else should be fine, if a little tense.

Here is a map showing crime hotspots. But Dallas isn't like Nola. I wouldn't go to south of Fair Park or to Pleasant Grove or South I-35 area. But the No.1 Crime spot in Dallas is the Ross ave./ Bennet area and that is near my house. I ride my bicycle through there all the time with no problems.

Dallas doesn't have many bad areas that a tourist would accidentally end up in. Pleasant Grove, the area around Fair Park and parts of Oak Cliff can be bad, but I doubt you'd ever find yourself in those areas.

What do you plan on doing while there? It's nothing like Nola crime btw.
