What are some good gated resorts/hotels in Orlando/Kissimmee?

We were going to stay at Cabana Bay but I know some people who stayed there recently and had their car broken into while staying at Universal’s hotel. They also said they had a good bit of homeless people in the area on international drive.
What are some good gated places to stay at Orlando/Kissimmee area? Since what happened to friends of ours, my wife doesn’t want to stay anywhere unless it is a gated place.

Depends on if you plan to go to WDW, Universal or both.

It’s not on property, but we have rented condos at Windsor hills resort. Not far from Disney. Never had any issues there. It’s off 192.

Cabana Bay is gated and is pretty much cut off from any outside foot traffic. I wouldn't be worried about parking my car there or anywhere else on I-drive.

Wyndham bonnet creek is really nice and you can usually rent from a timeshare owner for cheap
