Has anyone bought sports tickets through an online seller, and if so, which one?
I've gone to the sites of the top couple of search results, but I'm not even seeing the event listed (Liverpool FC) for an event about 90 days out.
Like a dummy, I bought the plane ticket before I verified I could get a match ticket. I bought tickets direct from another EU venue before just fine, but as you'd expect, Liverpool tickets from LiverpoolFC.com sell out as soon as they went on sale.

Did you try calling the club ticket office?
I will say that european soccer tickets from my very limited experience are not nearly as easy to obtain as american tickets, and that's to some of the lesser clubs with not great followings for lesser games so its not like they are sold out.
For better or worse, I think they do quite a bit of old school buy it at the booth still.

On family vacation in London in 2019, I took my son to a Tottenham game. It was a “friendly” so tixs might have been easier to come by versus EPL game. Bought tixs on StubHub.

Go to the hospitality options on the Liverpool website (linked below). Choose your match and then see what is available. For non-season ticket holders this is probably the best way to get them. They are very strict on reselling tickets over there so there isn’t a good Stubhub type source.
I’ve had a family member do a hospitality package at Liverpool and had a good experience. I joined a lottery for a single game Chelsea ticket 10ish years ago and was able to get that as well (through Chelsea by paying a small club fee to gain access).

You are a savior! I hadn't thought to look for packages, but just found what I needed for about 500GBP. There was only one package package left for the match against Chelsea that included a ticket.
