Any amusement parks or cool museums? Idk if we can go out late, he lives with his parents for the time being. Top golf sounds cool.

TopGolf is a good time. Lots of bars in Midtown and surrounding areas. Astros games. There are some museums to check out, but I've never been. St. Arnold brewery. Take the trip out to NASA.

Go to the Culture Map website for Houston. It has a calendar of what is going on in the city every day and also has lists of new restaurants and hot spots around the city.

Driving in Houston is hell but if you're coming from Lousiana, you will feel right at home.

The natural history museum is really nice. I also liked the zoo a lot.
Plenty of good places to eat. We went to El Tiempo on Richmond and really enjoyed it. Also ate at Hobbit cafe, Fat Boi, Torchy's Taco, Qin Dynasty (hated it), and the pie cafe.

El Tiempo and Torchys are awesome options. If you want good Pho, go to Huynh Resturant on St. Emanuel.

You must go eat at Peli Peli. Best restaurant in Houston. It's South African

The driving part, is something you can't prepare for. Hands down the worst. Try and avoid going anywhere downtown 4-7pm. Toll roads are rampant so have change ready or hope your friend has an ez tag.

I second this. Had been to El Tiempo last summer and just went to Torchy's this Sunday when I visited. Both are great!

I love every visit I make to Houston. I hope to live there one day.

ETA: Next visit I'm checking out St. Arnold Brewery.

From BR but take 3-4 trips to Houston a year. I love beer so I love the bars/brews

Houston games
St Arnolds tour/beer
Karbach brewery on the weekend... They have live bands, good lookin women and beer... Last trip I went to the brewery and it was a damn good time
Top golf
Houston mall is impressive
Holocaust museum is worth checking out
The original on the border is in Houston

Btw take Uber for everything... Screw driving in a city you don't know. If you aren't familiar with uber, get familiar with it. Uber has made trips for me 10x more enjoyable

edit: saw you liked to drink.. Flying saucer is a pretty sweet bar. Tons of beer to select from and has a good feel to it..

Please do not go to Clè. It is one of Houston's most awful establishments.

Houston games

Love them, unfortunately they weren't playing at home this weekend. Even the gift shop was closed on Sunday and I was trying to get some new gear.

I usually visit 2-3 times a year whenever LSU football or baseball is out there or for an Astros game.

I want to up my visiting to 7-8 times per year. I feel like a new person when I am out there.
