I have a work trip to Fort Lauderdale this week and looking for recommendations of places to eat and things to do. I will be getting there Wednesday morning and coming back Saturday afternoon.

Best sandwich deli in the world is in Ft. Lauderdale. It’s called Laspada’s. Down near Ft. Lauderdale Beach.

Walk the shops up and down Las Olas
Hit the beach
Boat cruise.

That’s about all I have. Down there for work once or twice a year so am interested in this topic as well.

Colada Cuban Cafe

I’m sure there are many more Cuban restaurants, but this one has some great pastries, coffee, breakfast and lunch.

Also: 15th Street Fisheries
Pretty good food and drinks, great view of the water and the yachts.

Take a walk along the beach broadwalk. Good sight seeing.

Flamingo Gardens in Davie isn’t too far and a neat park.

Both mentioned here already:

Lasapada's - incredible sandwiches

15th Street Fisheries - great place to see tarpon and get high quality sea food

Rocco's Tacos - order the guac. They make it fresh in front of you which is kinda weird but comes out great

Coyo Taco - great tacos.

Outside of food:
Museum of Discovery & Science
Funky Buddha Brewery - 10 min drive from downtown
Riverwalk
Bonnet House

Second this. While there, check out the Boathouse restaurant across from the Riverside Hotel. Food is awesome and it's on the water with yachts and everything else passing by. Watch out for the Iguanas lol.
