What are your recommendations on things to do and/or see? What are some good walking neighborhoods and attractions? Any hidden gems, bars, breweries, restaurants, shopping?

Ballpark Village is always a good time. 360 Bar is at the top of Ballpark Hilton and has an amazing view of the city. BPV is right across the street from it, so you can kill 2 birds with one stone.
The Lafayette Square neighborhood has some great places for drinks. Microbrew in Square One, craft cocktails in Planters House, or treat the wife/gf to Bailey's Chocolate Bar.
The Soulard neighborhood has tons of bars all within walking distance. And if you're feeling really adventurous, get a cab or Uber and simply say these words, "east side". Report back about your experience...

I posted in your F&D board thread as well.
Soulard, Central West End
Forest Park, Cathedral Basillica, City Museum
If you like old architecture, there is a ton of cool looking buildings in various parts of the city. Wash U and St Louis U's campuses have some nice buildings.

Enjoyed seeing the arch.
Paid the fee to ride to the top and really enjoyed it. Went earlier in the summer. Tons of construction going on at the base of the arch! Prepare for delays and walking around fenced off areas, instead of through them.
The ball park and ballpark village were very nice. Took in a game at a place called Cardinal Nation. It was a club style atmosphere with open bar and buffet across the street from Busch Stadium, but with rooftop seating to watch the game. Pricey, but worth it.
The Budweiser brewery tour was nice. Took the free one, but many more are available. Free samples were nice too.

The ballpark is nice. You can go up the arch but that is a tight fit in those "eggs"

That's the truth!
If you have claustrophobia issues, avoid the ride to the top.

Sure, most of the weekend will be walking/driving around the city for an event. Should get out and see lots of the downtown area.

If you find yourself drinking, dinning, or shopping on Wash Ave, just make sure its during daylight.

I lived there for about a year, if you're young then check out St Charles. There are a couple breweries an wineries on the river walk. Gorgeous place during the winter.

A lot of good suggestions already posted, so this list will include some duplicates.
Jefferson Expansion National Memorial - not just the Arch and the area underneath it, but also the Old Courthouse. Also, while you are in that area, check out the Old Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis.
Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis out towards Forest Park is beautiful.
Missouri Botanical Garden is really nice. As is the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park.
The Bud brewery tour was nice. The tack house for the Clydesdales was nicer than a lot of houses I have been in.
Grant's Farm is where the Clydesdales are bred and also has more of them in residence than the brewery area.
Just north of the city is Jones-Confluence Point State Park, on a peninsula where the Missouri flows into the Mississippi.

Zoo is great, especially since it's free
Grants Farm out in burbs is cool, and you get free beer and can go out and see the clydesdales in their stables and out running and frolicking.
Art Museum is very good
Boat House in Forrest park is a nice place to eat, you can rent some paddle boats while there.
Art museum, boat house, and Zoo are all in forrest park.
If u have a ride, go by gus's pretzels, across street from Brewery and get a brautzel. Braut inside the pretzel.
PS Pack Heat

Walked pretty much all of downtown, even some shady areas, tonight. Definitely want to check out city museum before I leave. That place looked awesome. Ballpark area is neat, glad I stayed at the Hilton here. Have taken a few pics, will post when I get back.
Union Station looked cool too.
Got 20km on my walk tracker, I covered a lot of ground.
The BBQ festival is going on right now too.

yeah, the Que in the Lou
Try any goods? Some really good BBQ establishments down there. Some that put KC,Texas, etc to shame.
Did you go up to the 360 bar/eatery across from BPV? Some great views and it's really a cool place to get a beer.
