Southern Utah/Grand Canyon Trip

Going to a reunion in Vegas Labor Weekend. Planning on jumping in a rental car on Monday and heading out to Angel's Landing, then would like to see the Grand Canyon (North or South Rim?), Monument Valley, and the Grand Canyon Skywalk returning to Vegas Friday. I'll be solo so won't have anybody dragging me down. Is that too much to bite off in a week?

We took a tour out of Vegas a couple of years ago. Loaded up on a bus and went to the Southern rim on some Indian reservation. It took all day and was pretty damn awesome. It's the one with the glass observation deck. It also stopped at the Hoover dam for some pics.
Splurge if you go and do the helicopter ride down into the canyon. It's an awesome experience and I was very glad the wife upgraded us to that option.

Lake Powell is one of my favorite places. We spent a couple days there after touring the North Rim when I was 15. It was absolutely gorgeous.

That's what I've heard as well. Was thinking about spending the night there.

We flew to Vegas spent one night.
Drove to South Rim for 2 nights then drove around the Canyon on the east side and ate lunch at Jacob Lake (but didn't go to the North Rim )
From there we drove to St George and did Zion for 2 days before heading back to Vegas for 2 days.
Upon reflection we should have traded one the the nights in Vegas for a day in Bryce Canyon...but on the other hand cause now we have a reason to go back to Southern Utah and the North Rim!!
Love So Utah!!

I'm interested in this as well. Plan on flying into Vegas on a Friday evening and out of SLC on the next Saturday. The plan is to spend that night in Vegas and then try to do the Mighty 5 on our way up to Salt Lake. We'll have our little kiddos with us, so I can't death hike every day, but trying to figure out the highlights we can do.

Check out my most recent travel board topic. I think you'll find it immensely helpful. You have plenty of time to enjoy those places.
