Everything appears to revolve around food and dranks. I'll go out on a limb and guess that's why I see so many overweight folks.
Disclaimer - I am not judging any of you or your lifestyle. Happiness is the most important thing in life. How we attain that in Colorado is so much different than here, but it doesn't make one wrong and the other right. I've been gone for a while and feel a certain amount of culture shock when I come back yet I grew up in south LA. It's weird baws

Go to the boardwalk down by the Casinos. It's nice. Restaurants, shopping, nice movie theater too.
Superior Steak House (not to be confused with Superior Grill) - expensive food, must dress nicely.
Casinos for gambling and some decent buffets, especially The El Dorado and Margaritaville, check their sites for menu specials. Horseshoe is probably the nicest and has a good expensive steakhouse.
I've heard Rotolo's pizza is the best in town but never had it.
The Cub is a decent little bar. Pool tables, etc, nothing fancy.
El Dorado Casino has a pretty good lounge bar usually with a band, can be pretty fun on the weekends.
There's always the strip club. Hustler Club is probably the best, but it's not great.. only topless.
You can always rent a boat and cruise the Red River, but for the love of God don't swim in that river...whirlpools will suck you down and drown you. Or you can go out to Cross Lake and do some fishing. I think there's even a few restaurants on the lake.
Southern Trace Golf Club is probably the best in town, Samuel L Jackson played there with David Toms once on the golf channel "Playing Lessons From The Pros" find the video to see it in detail.
Rocking Rodeo is a good place as far as nightclubs go. Kind of country centric, but it has two other floors of hip-hop and karaoke. Many many kamakaze shots consumed there.
Two Shopping Malls, Pier Bossier by the casino, and Mall St Vincent in Shreveport. Mall St Vincent is nicer and has more upscale stores.
Crawfish might still be slightly in season so a lot of places will have those, look downtown on Texas Street.
Best Mexican Food is probably Trejo's. Lots of seafood places also Ralph & Kakoo's and Ernest's (has a cocktail lounge) are both pretty famous.
Cool Independent Movie Theater called Robinson Film Center downtown. They sometimes play some classic movies and have dinner specials sometimes.
Strawn's Eat Shop is very famous too, a bit overrated , but still good home Southern country cooking, and a good breakfast. They are famous for their Strawberry Pie.
They have a big arena CenturyLink Center in Bossier City where major acts come through, so check there will be some big concerts on tap. Also check all of the casinos for musical acts and such they always have shows going on.
Also ...smoking in Casinos and bars, they are one of the few states that still allow smoking indoors.
Remember, Shreveport is North Louisiana...so Cajun culture is basically non existent, Shreveport is much more akin to East Texas and South Arkansas.

Herby Ks is overrated. The Beacon Motel changes out the hot tub water on Wednesday so you can strike while that iron is hot. I will tell you two places that are under the radar.
1. Kims Seafood on E. Texas
2. Real Barbecue on Line Ave.

Can always go check out what little's left of the old Bossier Strip. Wildest place around in its heyday.
I went to high school with a girl whose dad owned a furniture store, but it was really a front for various kinds of shady shite-He disappeared for about a week one time, and they found him in a motel on the Bossier Strip shacked up with a couple of whores

I'm not sure if the Wild Orchid is still open in Bossier, but some good times were had in that place.

Well it was 7 or 8 yrs ago...last time I ate Mexican in Shreveport...either there or Posado's...I never really considered Superior grill full blown Mexican. I might be down there on Saturday, where would you recommend?

Red River Brewing is open. Go have a flight of beer there.

I think Superior is far better than Trejos. They will have the same stuff on the menu, just better.
If you want an atmosphere like Trejos, Posados or El Chico are better. I don't dislike Trejos but it's not the best. I actually like El Jimador a lot better. It's fairly new (like within the last 2 years).

Taco Mania is better than all you listed, IMO. Also, Ki Mexico is legit for tacos.
ETA: Should have said with the exception of Superior and Cantina Laredo. Those two are the best in town for higher priced Mexican food.
Also, not sure if it was mentioned but Wine County and Franks Pizza are both really good as well.

It is, and technically it's Mexican but different.

oyster bar has similar food to superior, but significantly cheaper. also good oysters. my go to mexican is el compadre. la michoacana (sp?) has great street style tacos. it's more authentic mexican style. taco mania is also pretty good. all of these are miles ahead of trejos or posados. don't go to either of those places.
if you are looking for atmosphere, superior and oyster bar would be best bets for mexican. both have nice patios. superior has the cougar scenery.

The fact that a thread about Shreveport is the most popular thread on this board is a travesty.
And yes I just used that statement for my 1000th post.
