Get a dinner reservation at Mariposa Grill now. As far as hiking I liked Doe Mountain and Devil's Bridge. There's plenty of nice hotels and resorts. Find one in your price range or splurge and stay at Enchantment.

Definitely agree on the above post. Do devil’s bridge at sunrise to be the crowds. It’s a lot less scary at the top when there aren’t 100 people waiting to pass

I put this together as a way to document the trip for the next time we go….which I’m pretty sure we’ll do again.
What a geat trip. I'll break down by categories..hiking/trails, restaurants, grand canyon, hotel
Hiking
Day one arrived into Sedona around 11 (direct flight from NO at 6 a.m. and about a 2 hour drive from Phoenix)
Fay Canyon - easy out and back 2.2 mile trail. End of trail has a climb up to arch that is not listed on the trail.
Airport Mesa - 4 mile loop trail (wasn't overly impressed)
Day two
Devil's Bridge - early morning hike starting at Mescal/Chuckwagon trailhead (this alternate route was highly recommended). 4.2 mile round trip and easily our favorite hike.
Cathedral Rock - midday hike, approximately 1.2 miles with challenging portions that were somewhat difficult. Got lucky and found a parking spot at the trailhead (which is very limited).
Chapel of the Holy Cross - not really a hike, but sort of. Parking was an issue so it was a pretty long uphill walk but certainty worth the effort....beautiful chapel surrounded by great views
Courthouse View Loop - Afternoon hike, long loop (4 miles) around Courthouse and Bell Rock. Relatively easy hike with good views
Day three
Bell Rock - Early morning short hike (1.2 miles) but mostly vertical. The first half was challenging and the top half was difficult as the face is relatively smooth in many areas and it wasn't apparent if there was an easier route (since there were few people out at 6 a.m. in the morning).
Baby Bell - half mile hike from Bell to Baby Bell. Easy climb and great views from the top on a beautiful morning.
Baldwin/Templeton - A 2.4 mile hike mostly along a beautiful creek (the only water we encountered during the trip) and then some vertical. This is also an alternative route to Cathedral Rock that I'd recommend if the CR trailhead is full. Makes it a longer hike but very scenic.
Fay Canyon (yes again) - We did this 2.2 mile hike again to end our hiking for the trip...actually went a bit further around the arch then we did the first time.
Restaurants
Elote - couldn't get a reservation...I tried online exactly 30 days prior to arrival with no luck. Called the restaurant 30 days prior and they placed me on a waiting list for our first night. Strangely enough I received a call during our airport mesa hike saying they could take us at 8:15. I read some review that this place was overrated, however it was easily the best meal we had in Sedona...hands down.
Butterfly Burger (Chef Lisa Dahl) - located in the village of Oak Creek, it was an exceptional burger in a very swanky restaurant. No views, as it is in a strip mall but the build out for the place was first class and the food was great.
Mariposa (Lisa Dahl) - Was fortunate to get reservations online 1 month prior. The restaurant, patio, scenery are unmatched. We had an 8:15 reservation and sat outside. The views were great. The food....not as good as the views. Wife (no pics) had the filet (tasty but average), I tried the Pollo Rustico (as it was listed as an award winner). I was somewhat disappointed. The side dish of Elote was very good. Overall it wasn't bad, but not as good as I anticipated or as good as the other places we dined…but the setting was spectacular.
The Hudson - Located within walking distance from the Arabella hotel, food was very good with a diverse menu. Didn't have reservations, place was packed to the rafters but there were 2 spots available at the bar, which we jumped on.
Grand Canyon
Day trip to the Canyon. Easy drive (1 hr 50 minutes) and easy to navigate within the park area. We actually parked and hopped on the Hermit's Rest bus trail that brings you to various viewpoints along the south rim. The Canyon is certainly grand...almost overwhelming. A must do, if you've never seen it and are within a couple of hours of it.
Hotel
Arabella…Nothing fancy, but certainly met our needs. Located near Cathedral Rock, Chapel of the Holy Cross, Bell Rock, Baldwin/Templeton etc...was in close proximity to many of the hikes
Overall it was a great trip. We logged 20+ miles of hiking in 3 days and fit in a day trip to the GC. Exhausting 4 days but well worth it and will definitely do it again. There were areas of Oak Creek Canyon that we drove through that I'd like to explore on another trip as it seems like totally different terrain.

Heading there this weekend. We are staying at the Enchantment for the second time.....love that place.
Have reservations/plans to eat at Mariposa, Red Rock Cafe, The Hudson, and one of the restaurants at Enchantment.
Planning to hike Devil's Bridge, Soldier's Pass, and probably a couple more.
Also planning a trip to Page Spring Cellars Winery.

Devil's Bridge - early morning hike starting at Mescal/Chuckwagon trailhead (this alternate route was highly recommended). 4.2 mile round trip and easily our favorite hike.
The regular trailhead for Devil's Bridge has a rather lengthy gravel road to hike before getting to the good parts of the trail. Taking the Mesdal/Chuckwagon trailhead route was a very good hike that was more scenic than the gravel road.
Also, the earlier the better for Devils Bridge. We got to the trailhead at around 6:30 am and when we got to the bridge there were 30 people in front of us that wanted to take a picture on the bridge. We decided against taking the picture and headed back down. In our hike out, we crossed tons of people heading in....and that was about 7:45.

Here’s another rec for Enchantment. We stayed there two years ago, and it was magical. We ate several meals at the restaurants there, and the food was fantastic with incredible views. There are a few hikes from the property itself and we did a few others in town.
We personally thought the Pink Jeep tour was extremely overrated and overpriced. You can see the same things hiking for free.

Rent a 4x4 vehicle and you can drive straight up to the actual trailhead. That’s what I do with my Jeep cause the gravel road is so boring to hike.

Second the Arabella. Liked Hyatt Piñon Pointe as well.

Devil's Bridge
Definitely start at Mescal. Hike down under it for another view

Soldier's Pass
Park at Jordan. If you are able, climb up and out the back of the cave for another view
We took Brin Mesa Trail back to Jordan and I detoured alone to the Brin Mesa Outlook which I felt was worth it.
Our favorite overall hike there is Cathedral Rock. Take enough time to rest and then explore the surroundings at the top.
PS my Sedona To Do list after 5 full days over 2 trips is still longer than what I've done! Don't stress because you simply can't do it all.

Doe Mountain
This was the best hike we went on. Once on top of the plateau, you can find a place on the edge to sit in solitude for a while.
Indian Gardens Cafe & Market just outside of Sedona was a perfect lunch spot.

Someone above covered the hikes pretty good and for dining in addition to Mariposa I highly recommend Elote (it was reservation only, not sure about currently) and Dahl & Di Luca (Italian) was pretty damn good.

Definitely hike in the canyon...the red rocks are great but the canyon hikes are really underrated IMO

I stayed in Sedona for a month this past January so got to know the area decently well...
I think pretty much all the dining options are covered. Any Lisa Dahl restaurant is solid. Elote is great. Mariposa and Elote need reservations well in advance. Really enjoyed Pisa Lisa for casual pizza.
The Sedona Fudge Company is absolutely legit for fudge, chocolate concoctions, etc.
For hikes, Bear Mountain Trail is one I haven't seen mentioned. 5-6 miles, 2,000' elevation, with great views at the top. It's moderately difficult with some scrambling.
Hangover Loop Trail is another solid one. The only drawback is the initial hike along the road for UTV's to the loop.
The drive along 89A up the valley to Flagstaff is fantastic and highly recommend. There's some more hiking up the valley as well. I think Wilson Mountain or AB Young Trails are two options? As a note, I did not personally hike those two. Without knowing your hiking ability, these might be tougher with elevation gain so research and plan ahead of time. Same goes for Bear Mountain above.

Lots of great hikes in Sedona: Cathedral Rock, Devil's Bridge, Doe Mountain, Bell Rock Pathway, and Fay Canyon were my favorites.
Doing ATV tours are cool too. Might be pricey depending where you go but I think it's worth it.
Didn't do off road Jeep tours they provide but it looked pretty cool. They plenty other outdoor activities that are worth it.
For Food: Mariposa Grill, View 180, Casa Sedona, and Gerardo's are all good.
Sedona is one of those places I never would have thought I'd ever visit at first, but glad as frick I did. It's beautiful.
I was doing an Arizona trip with a cousin of mine a few years back and decided to come here thanks to recommendations from people, and I'm glad we did. You'll love it.

Would I be able to take a 4 year old and 18 month old with me on Devil’s Bridge?
