Salt Lake City Airport - Layover Recs

I'm gonna be on a 3.5 hour layover in SLC on the morning of Oct 6 (7:48-11:10 local time) and was wondering if exploring downtown is feasible given the time allotted.

Get you some Beto's and walk around by the morman temple. If I remember it's about 15 min ride.

Would be a bit tight to do but you certainly could just ride downtown and walk around.
