Just pop your cherry and go right for Burning Man.

I spent a couple of days in Sedona recently. Enjoyed the hike to Devil's Bridge. Unfortunately wasn't able to do any other hikes while there.

Ate at Mariposa, SaltRock Kitchen and The Hudson. Would recommend any of those three.

Drive to cottonwood. The old town is alright. There's a European cafe that does breakfast and lunch. Tuzigoot national monument is only a few miles further, and it is really, really neat (if you are into ancient civilizations and the ilk).

Avoid the brewery in sedona

If you are into national monuments, Montezuma well and castle are within easy striking distance, as well as sunset crater/wupatki and petrified forest national park.

Red rock cafe has a great breakfast. Eggs benidict is my rec

Lots of primitive camping south of town.
