We're flying from DFW to MIA and then to Anguilla. Our layover in MIA is only 50 minutes. Will we have to go through customs in MIA? Is 50 minutes enough to make the connection? Neither of us have Global or TSA Pre. I'm thinking it may good to do that prior to this trip. Appreciate any thoughts from those who have made this trip-Thx

You only go through customs on the way home. You just need to go from the gate you land at to the boarding gate. They could be right next to each other or across the terminal. MIA has a train that goes from one end to the other so it's not hard to get across the airport.

Globasl entry and TSA Pre is always a good idea. Many credit cards reimburse the fee so it's a no cost no brainer.

It's your trip coming back that you will have to allow time to go through customs but with Global Entry it's usually pretty quick.

Make sure you arrange your boat/transportion to Anguilla ahead of time.

American flies straight into Anguilla from MIA now.....at least that's what I understand. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
