I need some help with choosing some good New Orleans bars and good New Orleans dining to visit. We will most likely get a room near the French quarter area. Would taking a drinking tour be worth doing? Also, looking for an Airboat tour to take when we are on our way back to Thibodaux.

In my opinion, tours are rarely worth doing. But a drinking tour? Even I might be able to get behind that.

If you're going to be in the FQ, a couple places to eat/drink include (but are certainly not limited to):

Mr. B's
Irene's
Carousel Bar
Napoleon House (more for this history than the food)

This will be the second time they visit here, and last time we just hit random bars down bourbon without much a game plan.I wanted to try something different this time, which is why I find online about a drinking tour. It looked interesting and I figured there mAy be some history on New Orleans within the tour. Just looking to show them a great time while experiencing some unique New Orleans places.
