You lost all respect from me when you said you fought against Disney. Why?

It really is a great place to make children happy. Now, it Is not place for selfish guys that have no desire to make the slightest effort to allow children to experience some level of joy in their childhood.

While $400/hr is a shite ton of money for most people, It’s a drop in the bucket for others.

For someone extremely wealthy, being able to save time by skipping the lines at Disney is probably easily worth the couple grand this tour guide would cost.

Is the personal tour guide worth the money?

No

It doesnt matter when you go so long as your expectations and plan are reasonable you can avoid being miserable. My advice is plan to arrive early every day you plan on hitting a park in the morning. If they say the park opens at 9, be there by 8:15. Between 8:15 - 11 am you won't see many lines except for a couple of headlining attractions in each park but just use your FP+ for those rides.

So when you go to Magic Kingdom and everyone is running for Mine Train just walk right past them and go to Peter Pan then Splash and Thuner mountain with no wait and use your FP+ for Mine Train later in the day.

Don't do character breakfasts. If you want a character meal do them at lunch when you'll want a break an the standby wait times have already built up in the park. if you are awake and not at your resort at 9 am do not be sitting down eating at a breakfast buffet. Go to that same buffet at lunch.

The key to disney is to zig when everyone else zags. Hit the parks early, leave for lunch and come back later in the day when your FP+ are waiting. Judge your success by quality and not quantity. Look for non theme parks things you'll enjoy (resort hopping, resort activities like the campfires and outdoor movies, community hall's at deluxe resorts with free games for kids, disney springs, mini golf, real golf, free drawing classes at art of animation, Yehaa Bob at Port Orleans, catch a game at ESPN club, street performers at boardwalk resort, bowling a splittsville, etc etc.

Disney is not JUST theme parks..they are a vacation resort so think beyond how many rides you guys do.

The only tour guides that I know of that can get you straight to the front of the lines are the ones that "rent" special needs kids to you. The guide + the kid are yours for the day.

There was a special on TV last year about this.

Tell us more about the guide you are looking into.

I've got to experience it once, I didn't pay though. They are damn good at their job and if I had that kind of money to throw away on it, I would do it.

It's a completely different experience with them, in a very good way. They will get you from your hotel to in the park quickly pretty much at your first ride if possible, they will get you dining reservations you don't have access to, you will be able to eat faster sit down if you want than a lot of people can do quick service, they will sometimes put you in transportation to get you between rides faster, never ending fastpasses (you still wait in fastpass line,) you see some behind the scenes stuff. It's a great experience.

There were cheaper versions not done by Disney out there too that abuse the fast pass system, but don't have access to some of the other things like dining and transportation in the back lot areas.

As many have said time and time again, and i have done myself, If you play your fastpasses right you will hardly ever have a long line to wait in.

Atleast for $550/hr you won’t go to hell for renting a special needs person to skip the lines.

I've never used them.

Golfing buddy that goes every year use them at least one day of his trip sometimes 2-3 days. He loves what it offers and says it cuts down on the amount of time 3-4 days instead of 7 days that he needs to stay to cover everything they want to do.
