Anquilla trip got screwed up.

Want white sandy beaches to just relax (headed into audit season), don't want to travel half way around the world on this trip, and I don't want to deal with panhandlers.

Anyone have anything?

Been to Turks, I like to experience new places, I should have qualified that in the beginning since it's the prime place for what I want.

I try and avoid the Caribbean during hurricane season. But I've enjoyed Turks and Caicos & St. John. Also heard great things about Eleuthera, but I've never been and it's not as easy to get to from the US.

Curaçao (or one of the other ABC Islands). Below the hurricane line. Went in 2009 and had a great time.

I have not personally been, but it has been recommended to me by a few people. Also Roatan.

BVI would work. You have several choices of islands there. St John is a great suggestion. I've been there once or twice.

ETA: its St John. St John's is a university.

Isla is great and cheap but there will be some pan handling. Not much but some.

Checked this out and ended up booking it, 7 nights all inclusive ocean view, round trip airfare, $200 hotel credit, and round trip airport transport for $2,100.

Sunscape

Holy cow, you acted fast! That's my kind of trip planning. I hope you enjoy it. I'm going to check out that hotel you linked. That's a damn good price!

Btw, use a LOT of sunscreen. I got a sunburn sitting under a thatched umbrella. My husband forgot to sunscreen his back while snorkeling and was in a BAD way afterwards. Don't drink too much Mexican coke.

Been twice and never been approached. Maybe it's because I dress like a bum while I'm there.
