Glacier (MT)
Yellowstone (WY)
Grand Teton (WY)
Rocky Mountain (CO)
Great Sand Dunes (CO)
Mesa Verde (CO)
Redwoods (CA)
Lassen Volcanic (CA)
Teddy Roosevelt (ND)
Crater Lake (OR)
Olympic (WA)
North Cascades (WA)
Zion (UT)
Bryce Canyon (UT)
Canyonlands (UT)
Capitol Reef (UT)

Mammoth Cave (KY)
Shenandoah (VA)
Great Smoky Mountains (TN/NC)
Congaree (SC)
Biscayne (FL)
Everglades (FL)
Cuyahoga Valley (OH)
Hot Springs (AR)

Will be heading to Waterton Lakes, Banff, and Jasper within the next year hopefully. Alaska is on my bucket list, and is almost within driving distance

I need to hit up Yosemite ASAP

What was your opinion of North Cascades in Washington? I have been to a few National Parks, but after my trip last summer that included Glacier and Yellowstone, I'm looking for some less crowded parks. Right now North Cascades and some of the Alaskan National Parks are at the top of my list.

Southern Utah would have to be my favorite part of this country. Bryce, Zion, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Arches are all great.

damn, thats quite a list. I thought I was doing good and have only been to about 5 of those. Did go to Banff as well, and that is top of my list for natural beauty.

Which were your favorite in the southeast-ish/driveable from LA region of those listed?

North Cascades is pretty small, but really awesome. Diablo Lake is by far the bluest lake I've ever seen in person (bluer than Crater Lake). We camped for a couple nights back in August and loved the lack of people. Just remember, there's not a ton to do/hiking that you might would think. Like Olympic, it's pretty wildernessy with a lack of roads (which is a good thing). Very nice tho. Would recommend! One thing to keep in mind is that the entire park is basically a reservoir for the greater Seattle area. Lots of power lines and dams.

Embarrassingly, I cannot say yes to Crater Lake. We have planned on two different occasions, but backed out due to the weather both times. One time, we ended up going to Bend and Cove Palisades, instead, and the other time we ended up going to Newport, so we had good alternatives.

Still want to go to Crater Lake.
