We are stopping in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Yosemite on the way.
Must sees? Must eats?
We have never been out west. Any and/or all recs appreciated.
Total trip will be around 12 days.

I'll try this again as the trip is now a week away.

1) Crater Lake if it's accessible (i doubt it is)
2) I'd do a vineyard in each state
3) Redwoods NP (stay in Klamath or Eureka)
4) Sequoia or King's Canyon in addition to Yosemite Valley

Wife is 5 mo pregnant, probably should have put that in the op.
We may hit one near San Fran, but I'm not gonna subject her to that in every state.

Ah...I don't look forward to those days.
Badwater Basin looks pretty cool too. Lake Tahoe isn't far either.
I only know outdoors stuff, so hopefully others will chime in.

April is a great time to see Death Valley; check out Scotties Castle there if you have the time.
It's too bad Tioga Pass will be closed, I love the drive down from Mono Lake to the Owens Valley.

There is a loca portlander who has posted a lot of great information on Portland. We had a great visit there this summer. Definitely check out the gorge. We drove to Ranier and spent two nights there. Highly recommend.
Ate PokPok in Portland and Salt & Straw. Powell's books was cool as well. Enjoyed the market in Seattle and the mariners game.
Great trip you have planned.

I read not too long ago that Scotty's Castle in Death Valley is closed through 2019 bc of flood damage from torrential rains a few years back. It's a shame bc I'll be in DV next week. No worries... still plenty to see.
