Yes a long time ago though. I started with the Padres and worked my way around the US clockwise.

It’s tough whenever the next stop has an away series for 2 weeks.

driving to Chicago from New Orleans, caught a game I’m Cincinnati on the way there, St. Louis on the way back. Saw the White Sox and Cubs(2) while there. It was ‘98, when Sosa was putting them on Waveland.

5 games, 8 teams, 4 Stadiums, 9 days.

I’ve wanted to do this so bad.

I would pick a few different paths then check the schedules so it lines up right. Obviously the east coast will give you a nice path up I95. Start in DC and Baltimore, then Philly, NYC, and end in Boston. You could see 6 teams if the schedules line up right and it’s really not much driving for each stop.

Or

A much longer one could start in houston, go through Dallas, then KC, over to St Louis, then up to Chicago and end in Milwaukee or Detroit. That could be 7 teams if it lines up, but obviously much more driving.

West coast would be a ton of driving for 6 teams, SD, LA, SF/Oakland, and then Seattle.

Obviously you can cut these into segments as well or combine certain parts. The Northeast/Midwest is probably your best bet for the most amount of teams and combinations. Southeast is probably the worst with a lot of driving for only 3 teams.

I plan on seeing every MLB and MLS stadium. I’d imagine Northeast would be the best/easiest trip.

Just got back from Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Some friends and I have been doing a trip every summer with our boys. This year made 5 years. We have seen games in 12 stadiums so far with the kids. First year Baltimore and DC, then both in New York, Anaheim LA and San Diego and last year both Chicago’s and Milwaukee. It’s harder for schedules to line up than you think so I would say if you can hit that many in one trip go for it. We plan to keep it going and try to hit them all eventually. Thinking next year either Seattle, Oakland and SF or St Louis and KC. We usually pick a point to fly to and either rent cars or the last couple years my buddy actually hired a driver to take us between cities.

The Indians aren’t in town? You would be going right through there from Pittsburgh to Detroit.

Only other city would maybe be St. Louis. But looks awesome. Anything else and you are entering in some other regions.

A friend did this before his dad died of cancer. They went to Pitt, Cleveland, Det, and yankee stadium. They are from cincy. Was incredible for him outside of the father son stuff.

Good luck. I’d say kind of make it known what you are doing while walking around tailgates. Might meet some cool people and fans. I’d say that would be the most interesting aspect.

Not a bad idea, 4 of the 5 home teams are gonna be WAY out of first place in late AUG

Might not be much fan experience

Yes, back in college. It was a LOT of driving, but a lot of fun. I've forgotten the exact itinerary, but it was something like this...

Flew to Indianapolis and met up with my cousin. Spent 2 nights there seeing Phish at Deer Creek. Drove to Chicago and stayed with another cousin, and saw a Cubs game and a White Sox game. Drove to Milwaukee for a Brewers game. Drove to Minneapolis for a Twins game. Stopped in Des Moines for a minor league Cubs game. Continued on to KC for a Royals game. Drove to St Louis for a Cards game. Then back to Indy, and flew home. We had planned to hit Cincy, but we were exhausted.

There were a few "rest" days here and there where we didn't see a game, and those were crucial. We only had tickets for the Cubs game ahead of time. Tickets were pretty easy to get outside every stadium except the Cards.

Drove to Dallas for a Rangers game then up to Omaha for a few CWS games. Headed to KC for Royals and a World of Outlaws race then to STL for Cardinals. Was a great trip with my son and son in law.

You got lucky with those dates all fitting together. I am looking to do the same thing with my boy. Last year did the cubs and Cincinnati. This year we will do the twins and brewers. I wish I could get three or more to work for me but the schedules did not work out.
