MOAB, Utah information provided here

So MOAB is essentially my favorite spot in the country. I have been a handful of times and truly believe everyone should experience it at least once.
Lodging
Every time I have been I have stayed at the same place, Moab Rim RV Park. This place has incredible facilities (literally cleaned twice a day every day). It has great camping spots, RV/Camper spots, cabins that have just a small kitchenette and full blown cabins with all essentials. It is well located and very reasonably priced. There are hotels in the town, of course, but this place is generally less expensive (for camping, cabins or RVing) and provides a great experience here.
Dining
Eklecticafe has really good sandwiches.
MOAB Diner is a great breakfast place to get in and out in <30min for <$10.
Eddie McStiffs seems to have poor reviews online, but I firmly disagree and believe it is a great spot.
Paradox Pizza is really good.
Wicked Brew is a nice drive thru coffee spot.
MOAB Brewery is okay. I recommend walking in a grabbing some of their cans for the trip then heading out to eat elsewhere.
Adventures
If you're looking for any type of adventures I recommend Navtec Expeditions. You can do rafting, canyoneering, 4X4 trips, day trips and half day trips. Whatever you're interested in, Brian will take care of you.
Mountainbiking
I am a mountainbiker, so I have some good experience in this. Here is a link that will provide you with maps, loops, milage and directions to all of the incredible mountainbiking available. I truly believe this is the best mountain biking in the world.
Personally, for beginner/causal rides, head to Dead Horse Point State Park. These trails provide incredible scenery and are very rider friendly with very little technicality. For intermediate and advanced riding, you have to ride the world famous Slick Rock trail. It and Pipe Dream are in Spanish Valley and will work you to death, but damn it's incredible. Also be sure to ride the Whole Enchilada, most importantly Porcupine Rim because it is wild.
National Parks
If you are making a trip to MOAB, you should most definitely take at least a single day for both Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. Arches is unlike anything else and Canyonlands rivals the grand canyon. Be sure to head to island in the sky and also hike out to Delicate Arch, the most delightful arch of them all.
All in all, you should take a trip to MOAB. Here area few pics to encourage you.

Good info! Porcupine Rim is the best bike trail I have ever done. The climbing in the area is world class as well. I would add BLM camp sites are currently free, but won't be too much longer. I am heading there tomorrow but will mainly be climbing splitter cracks in Indian Creek and camping in super bowl or creek pasture

Nice. I was there a month ago. Time just stands still there for me. Granted I am a geoscientist, so rock formations like that is just mesmerizing to me.

Dude, awesome info, I have been wanting to go for a while and I think this thread might have actually pushed me over the fence. Looks amazing.
Edit: Do the rivers have good fishing?

Go. I'm not kidding. I tell everyone I know that this is a must do, especially while young and (at least somewhat) active.

To be honest I've never fished here, never even thought about it, but looking at this link, there are many many lakes within 30-40 miles that seem to have good fishing.
The link also provides this:

If catfish is your preference, the Colorado River offers miles of accessible shore line and many sandy beaches from which anglers can try their luck. Chicken livers, grasshoppers, worms and stink bait are popular baits for cat fishing. Crawdads, shrimp and clams can also be used.
I would get drunk on MOAB brewing beers and fish from a sand bar like this. That's just my style though.

Anyone ever stayed at Moab Springs Ranch? I'm looking to head this way soon. I will not have a RV/camper so need a hotel.
Any other recommendations? I was also looking at Sorel but I'm afraid it's too far out of town.

I'm considering their combination Canyonlands(four wheel drive trails in the "Island in the Sky" District of Canyonlands National Park. We'll travel a portion of the White Rim Trail, enjoy the stunning views at Fossil Point and climb the famous Shafer Trail) and Rafting combo trip.
This will be my only time in Canyonlands.
Or should I just take a full day to explore Canyonlands on my own?

I leave Friday evening for a 2 week trip out that way. I plan to hit needles district and island in the sky at canyonlands. I'm taking my truck (14mpg) vs my wife's vehicle (28mpg) just so I can drive the Shafer trail and medano pass while I'm out there.

A couple of friends and myself are trying to plan a zion trip but this looks amazing as well. Looking at July 2 - 6. Would it be possible to stay in moab and also knock out zion for a day?

Me along with the wife and kids are headed out there June 26 - July 5. We're going to hit the "Mighty 5". To answer your question, I don't think Zion is feasible from Moab. It's about a 6 hour drive I think. We are spending a few days in Moab to go to Canyonlands and Arches. We will stay in Springdale, Utah to visit Zion and Bryce and will spend 1 night near Capitol Reef.

I had a huge 7,000 mile/3 month long trip that I had to cancel due to CV-19. I was to stay at Portal in Moab. Moab shut down all campgrounds even before I could cancel. You may need to check to see if they are back open again.

It's a long enough drive between the two, like 5 hours each way.

Nope.
Maybe living in Denver has made me soft but y’all going to Moab in the summer is insane to me. It’s hot af. I don’t even consider that place Memorial Day(usually earlier) to early October. It’s literally the desert.

I got lucky when I was out there this Memorial Day. The hottest it got was mid 80’s. Did some good climbing though. Then on my way back home to Denver I got caught in a snow storm over Vail pass. Gotta love the mountains.

We were in Rifle that weekend and It dumped on us from Silverthorne to Idaho Springs.
Side note, have you been to Rifle Mountain Park? Huge climbing area that I never knew existed. The area north of Rifle is a hidden gem with the climbing, Rifle Falls, and Harvey Gap.
