Nice time to visit. Weather should hover in the low-mid 70s during the day.

- Walk through the Sculpture Garden and Loring Park. Finish with a cocktail at Bar Lurcat.

- Warehouse District and North Loop is a lively area. There are many warehouse-style lofts and a few breweries to visit (Fulton, Inbound, Modist). If you like Italian, I would recommend Bar La Grassa. Acme, a comedy club close-by, has a fun ambiance. Marvel is a cocktail bar in the area to check out after having dinner at Kado no Mise. My favorite brunch in this area is Red Cow.

- Walk to Stone Arch Bridge. It's walking distance to downtown, but you can get some beautiful views of Minneapolis. Haven't gotten one in my recent trips to Minneapolis, but a picture from couple years ago is below:

- Not sure how you define early September, but the Vikings play at home versus the Saints on September 11. The Gophers will be at home on August 31 and September 16. TCF is a beautiful stadium. The University of Minnesota is directly across the river from downtown. Easier to bike/Uber, but I suppose you could walk. Large student enrollment (48K+).

- Surly is a fun brewery. Most of their veterans have taken-off (couple brewers just opened One Barrel in St. Paul last week), but still a great vibe, both inside-and-out.

- Northeast Minneapolis has a number of breweries, some of which include: Indeed, Dangerous Man, Boom Island, Pryes, Bauhaus, and Headflyer.

- Uptown is quite the eclectic neighborhood. Food trucks roam, Lake Calhoun and Lake of the Isles provide ample recreation, and several bars flank Hennepin/Lake. Some of the best ice cream I've had is at Sebastian Joe's. Chino Latino has an expansive global menu.

We are actually going for the Saints game. We will be there Sept. 7 thru Sept. 12. Going to miss out on the Twins though. Thanks for the nice write up.

ETA: We are staying in the Nicolett Mall Area.

Wheel Fun Kayak Rentals to paddle around the lakes.

Butcher and the Boar is a great restaurant. If you can't get a reservation inside the restaurant, they have a huge patio outside.

Totally forgot about Butcher and the Boar! Certainly walking distance from his hotel around Nicollet Mall.

If you want to try a 'Juicy Lucy', would definitely go to Matt's Bar.

A very good, Neapolitan-style pizza is Black Sheep in North Loop / Warehouse District. There is an array of local taps, too.

ETA: If you're interested in trying Toppling Goliath, there are several liquor stores throughout the Twin Cities that will carry bombers/cans. Best selection is at Casanova in Hudson, but that is likely too far (30 miles).
