I want to watch it..I really do.
Gonna wait till next weekend. Our plan is to watch it night 2 from Trader Sams then post cruise from inside Magic Kingdom. My biggest letdown is how I fear the projections will reduce the experience from outside the park.
I can see Illuminations from Boardwalk, but the experience wasn't anything like seeing the show from inside the park. Being able to watch wishes from along 7 seas Lagoon was awesome and one of the coolest thighs about the show imo

It's tough to really tell from the video exactly how big/small, numerous the fireworks are. It zooms in a lot on the castle projections. But they're really impressive. I'm not a fan of the pop music to start and finish the show. The music throughout is good though. My dad made a good point; reminds him of Fantasmic.

Watched the whole thing and was pretty impressed. It will take some time to get used to it after so many years of Wishes,p. I think the original song is fine and is a good way to bookended the show. One of the podcasts I listen to notes that there is more pyro in this show even though they use the projections...but that could also be a function of the show being longer (18 min).

I hope it attracts more percentage of people to watch it, I like doing other things while people are watching that show. Longer is better too.

I'm sure it'll attract a lot of people, especially the first year or so.

I have the same fear. I hadn't watched Wishes in years. I'm a big Disney fan but I would've rather get kicked in the balls than be standing in Magic Kingdom during the Fireworks. On my last trip, I watched it twice from Top of the World Lounge at Bay Lake. Loved it.

I refuse to watch the show until we get there in October and see it live. It will be some loooongg months ahead! It is getting tons of rave reviews though.

I'll be there in Nov, gonna hold off on watching it until i can see it live.
I may be in the minority here, and it may be because I've seen Wishes so many damn times, but I was ready for a change. Wishes is an amazing show with a great run, but I believe it was time for a change.

I can get on board with this. I love Wishes but I agree that it was probably time for a change.

It definitely was. I think the new show is a suitable replacement. I just really want them to develop a new nighttime parade for the Magic Kingdom. I miss SpectroMagic.
