That place is great. We don’t get there nearly enough.

Key Colony Inn has great food. I had forgotten the name until you mentioned it.

Louies is my favorite day drinking spot
Nighttime too. Here is my lasting memory of that bar-

We were there for pre dinner cocktails on Easter Sunday night and the outdoor bar and patio were crowded. The bar was playing music and needless to say, Jimmy Buffett got his share of air time.
When Trying to Reason With Hurricane Season came on, everyone sang along. Part of the lyrics go
Sure could use a Bloody Mary
so I stumbled over to Louie’s Backyard.

That brought a big cheer.

I saw Jimmy having dinner there back in January. We were cutting through to grab some drinks outside on a Saturday night.

Buffett used to live right next door on Waddell Avenue. Louie's usedto hand him his dinner over the fence.

I don’t know about eating but feeding tarpon at Robbie’s is fun, just watch for pelicans.
Mangrove Mikes
Lorelei’s
Both in Islamorada

Harpoon Harry’s in KW is great for breakfast and blue plate special lunches.

I’ve eaten lunch at Robbie’s. Very good atmosphere, outdoor dining.

Me, too. Do t underestimate the food there.

I love the casual Seafood places on the water. A cold beer and a fish sandwich makes a lot of problems go away.

Little Pearl and Thirsty Mermaid in Key West, burgers at Caroline's watching people walk by on Duval.

And do the eco tour that takes you to the reef to snorkel and then the sandbar to drink and party, followed by a sunset cruise home.

I’m not a fan of anything cuban in KW other than a Cuban sandwich from cuban coffee queen

Check out Key West Cuban Coffee on Truman if you haven’t been there yet.

The owner of Caroline’s is a jackass.
My favorite people watching spot is the Tree Bar on Duval (200 block) fresh squeezed made to order grapefruit or OJ crushes. Saturday and Sunday afternoon is a great time there. Tell the bartender Joanne you saw this on Tiger Droppings.

The owner (and some employees) can be jackasses and Caroline’s can also be a great people watching place with pretty decent food. Both can be true

Marathon…little hole in the wall place called La Niña, great Cuban food. No atmosphere, it’s a dive in front of a trailer park, and most of the staff struggles speaking English, but great food and great Cuban coffee. Spent a week in Marathon in August, stopped there daily. One of our faves the last few years when we’ve gone to the Keys

I'm following this thread for food recommendations as well. On a side question, are you flying into the keys or into Miami and driving?

A lot of the spots I was gonna say have been mentioned, but a lesser known spot in Summerland Key is Mangrove Mama's. Off in the weeds, but it is a cool shack. Great food
