I'm looking for an area that has enough hiking to be able to go 5 or so days in a row for a few hours each day, but also be urban enough to be able to go out every night.

Any suggestions?

Portland, OR.

Just went to Silver Falls State Park yesterday. There is an awesome 7.2 mile hike that has 10 major waterfalls on it. There are some great hikes in Columbia River Gorge, and on the coast, as well as in Southern Washington.

Portland has a lot of great restaurants and bars, as well.

Hot Springs is the most urban national park there is. Might not be a bad spot though I haven't been there in decades.
