I check twice a day, usually in morning while I take a shite and the evening while I do the same.

Do you guys find that it changes much?? And I'm just curious as to if what I've read about booking 54-60something days in advance is the best option?

Thanks.

I've found it can change as much as 100 bucks in a day, usually morning to evening a few bucks though.

If you have a gmail you can set a flight tracker through google flights that emails you any price changes. I have no idea how often it updates as in if its more than once a day, but it definitely is daily. I'd think more if necessary.

I've watched a couple of them I've set through my emails, and yes somewhere between 45ish-100ish days is definitely prime time. They definitely dip, and sometimes they'll launch deals in that time. Given, you can get deals outside of that time frame but I would never book over 50-60 days out unless you got a deal. There's just no reason. I would also never wait under about 40 days out because the prices jump up quite a bit as you get close.

ETA: The other way to get good deals for say international flights to certain countries, is to determine which airlines fly the routes you are interested in and sign up for their alerts. They'll often run seasonal specials like deals in the fall for winter travel.

I've seen huge changes through the course of a day. I check it a couple times a day, when I'm bored or killing time, even if not planning a trip.
