Since I have NOT really been out of town for fun in almost 2 years...I decided I needed a night...so I looked at hotel prices in Opelousas (Evangeline Downs Casino), Marksville (Paragon), Biloxi, and New Orleans...

Holy shite...its 3 times what it used to be!

Anyone noticed this?

I can’t imagine a hotel in Opelousas can be more than $100

Yeah it’s kind of been a thing for a while now on weekends

I wouldn’t suggest looking at the prices for hotels or condos on the coast of Bama ir Florida from May through September either if you don’t like sticker shock. LOL

But, if you're lucky, they will let you clean your own room.

I stay out about twice a month on business. Lafayette and Slidell. Stayed in a Hampton Inn in Slidell about a month ago. $125. Checked prices last night, for next week at same hotel—$211!

Yep. And this is why the supply chain narrative causing inflation is bs. Ain’t no hotel rooms stuck on ships waiting to be unloaded.

Too much money dumped into the system by the politicians.
