Hot Springs:
There's Magic Springs, but it would pale in comparison to Silver Dollar City in Branson or Six Flags in STL. Would be a cheaper option, though.
Museum of Mid-America
Rent a boat on Lake Ouachita.

The Mid America Science Museum is a must if you are in Hot Springs area with kids. A lot of interactive exhibits that kids will come away from actually learning something.
We also enjoyed Garvin Gardens arboretum in that area as well.
As for Branson, too many seniors...and I am one !!!!
