How come Hometown Suites on Corporate blvd. still has rooms available for football season? Everybody else is sold out.

It's not a sketchy location. It's convenient to campus and decent dining.

Just found some reviews on it. Used to be OK but now its a roach motel.

I assume you meant Homewood Suites. The recent Tripadvisor reviews have pics of roaches and bug bites. Too bad it went to hell. We stayed there 10 years ago for a game, and it was decent then.

Thanks for posting this! It was a reminder to book my rooms for football season. I was surprised at how booked up all the hotels are already.

Not in any way affiliated, but just a reminder to people that the Origin hotel very recently opened up downtown. Looks like they have significantly increased rates for football weekends, but it looks like they still have availability, even for Bama, if you're willing to pay for it:
